Then for the love of god, post your analysis. If its good, people make actually take you seriously for once, at the moment with no proof to back anything you're saying up, you are not helping improve anyones opinion of youTongue

Everytime you ask him for it he just ignores your post.
Tried to ask for his calculations in several other threads, he never post it.

And personally from what i can see, i'm fairly sure that the classes will reach balance soonish.

Maybe night lords are underpowered in KMS becuase they don't have ridiculous dexless claws scrolled with +9 50% pink scrolls... Just saying.

I agree with hamad on that I/L, F/P and Bishops need changes, aswell as buccaneers. I so agree with Takebacker on giving Corsairs stance while on Battleship. My god, give them a new ship aswell, compared to lvl 120 Mir and an Mechanic's Tank mode, that ship looks just like a freaking lifeboat.

Takebacker Wrote:It's cheap to do and makes nexon a lot of money. Balance aside changing skills is the same as keeping the game fresh and new for long time players. If we had the same skills from 2006 we'd have all quit by now. :/

Adding stuff keeps the game "fresh and new." Changing the percentages an attack does is just dumb. And from 2006 there was no 4th job, the characters were incomplete, now the characters are complete and they're just trying to simulate the same effect 4th job brought. It's just stupid. I get adding a couple other classes, but redo-ing all classes over and over again every other month is retarded, I'd like to play a class confident it won't be completely different a month from now.

Old CSB is nice. What'd be nicer is a more consistant Energy Charge. Either charge up with every single hit instead of one attack (makes Energy Charge at bosses very hard to get up) or as *gasp!* Devil suggested have a way to keep Energy Charge going once it's activated, through something like a Night Lord throwing star recovery system. Also, would it kill them to make Demolition either stronger or faster? Hell, give a true Gomu Gomu no Gatling move. Think Dual Blade's new 4th job attack, but Bucc style. Super Transform is way better than before, but it'd be for the best if it was permanent a la Corsair Battleship/Mech Prototype/Wild Hunter Jaguar. An extension to CSB and Backspin's rush distance would be nice too, after seeing how pwnsome Mech's GIGA DRILL RUSH is.

I pretty much quit my archmage (first maplestory character) for a battle mage from the big bang update and chaos won't
change anything about it.

If they can update archmages/bishops/buccs/other less popular classes from the past few skill changes and
make them more desirable, I'm all for it.

Another thing that needs to be changed is the damage cap. Either it needs to be removed or attacks that do one large hit need to be changed to a multi-hit attack. Dark Knights look like they're as strong as Paladins and Heroes on paper but Sacrifice is limited by the damage cap. It also has barely any range compared to IS and Blast.
i am pretty sure sacrifice is the strongest technique out there (i haven't done any calculations, mind you) 1104% i think, that ignores any and all PDR? honestly, if they removed the damage cap, i wouldn't mind the suckish range it has, i even have saying for a while that the biggest change i want is sacrifice to be 2 hits in the same amount of time, but at half the power.

i unfortunately know almost nothing about anything other than warriors, so i'll keep my mouth shut.

dante9898 Wrote:You forgot Str = Def x 3 from shield mastery + the exclusive 20% achilles + the 5-6 hit ignore from DS + the 40-42% chance to ignore/avoid/block ANY attack.

Yes paladins are rigged with way too much def i admit.

you forgot that 40% hp heal every 15 seconds, it doesn't add defense, but when paired with such defenses, it makes them even more of a tank, not to mention, bosses that do pot lock and/or 1/1, the only class i see surviving now is a paladin, and in case he got 1/1'd while pot locked, 40% hp should last them enough (plus whatever achiles left)
so yea, i say pallies are OP because they can dish damage, not great, just good damage (neutral) but. they. just. won't. die.

I can't tell if OP is trying to troll here or what...

Without hard facts to state how he/she/it arrived to those conclusions, I find it hard to believe that his post alone holds any truth. There's also that he states this is all based on how things are in KMS. Things are not exactly the same here in GMS. Case and point: the Onyx Apples.

New animations for csb would be nice too.

There are quite a few skills that could use new animations. Triple throw and avenger especially.

Make the solo time something like 1min 30seconds when she's 200 >_<

I saw that Dual Blade's are green and was like lolwut. We are not balanced. We're overpowered as pineapple. That is the video that makes me think that.

I think the following classes need something:

corsair/captain: need a party skill. remove rapid and give a better party skill.

AM: more elemental DOT.

This is mostly to balance the incredible amounts of power creeping that Maple goes through. Whenever new areas, bosses, weapons, game modes, etc. come out, something gets unbalanced here and there. This especially pertains to the new classes that come out and the rate new content's released.

Dual Bladers are MUCH far beyond the balanced concept. They're the new spotlight of Nexon, Mechanics are out, DB's are in. They're the most ridiculously overpowered class post chaos, how the hell are they balanced?
Corsairs need more speed, while everyone focus on the killing speed and movement speed, corsairs only have power, but are terrible to move around the map compared to other jobs. I found my corsair a little obsolete after Big Bang because of that.

I'd rather they add a series of quests that can be done every 10 levels in 4th job (or even earlier jobs also). These quests would (assuming you've maxed the correct skill) give you a mastered version of the skill in question (a point would be automatically added into the skill also, heck they could even add a sub-book that contains mastered skill variants of the original).

These changes could be explained away as the job instructors not wanting to divulge the extremely powerful form to everyone/ the character not being ready for the power of the ability / a new way to increase the power of the skill being found. Then every time they want to increase the power of a skill they could add another quest chain that would give a 2nd level to the skill, or have the old skill removed and replaced by the new, stronger one (this way paladin's combat orders would still benefit those who have mastered versions of skills).

Basically I'd rather they add an in-game reason for the power increase / skill change than just modify the skills themselves and incorporate them into the game with no background. Hell, even having people be automatically warped to their job instructor with an explanation of the new skill changes and why they occurred (the black mage, yada yada yada, new skills to combat him...)

On the contrary, I'd like to see them continue revamping classes. Maple is horribly balanced and it's really annoying that longstanding notions like "mages are weak" can remain undealt with for years without being changed. People shouldn't be making classes simply because they do the most damage. They obviously still haven't gotten it right, and probably never will, so I say carry on.

I find it much more interesting to see fresh content that directly affects a character that I've played for a long time and grown attached to than to see yet another new class that I will probably get to level 40 before I get bored.

You do remember that 1/1 attacks cut both hp and mp, achilles doesn't cut the 20% from mp and the HP recovery skill do consume at least 60-80mp iirc.

Its good against pot lock, but not that good against 1/1+pot lock.

nope, i didn't remember, thanks for that, my point still stands a bit i guess. but as you said, with pallies holding the only achilles, all other warrior classes are doomed in any of the above circumstances, a pally will have a bit of trouble, but will shrug those off one way or another.

i just want achilles back, even if it's 10% instead of 15%
