Current state of KMST JOB Balance
#21
One thing for sure is I agree on the Reds. Regular mages still need some love, and Buccs are just lol when compared to Corsairs and Mechs. Paladin may be a tiny bit overpowered if only because they can take the most punishment in the game while being almost as strong as Heroes and Drks. I'm not sure where you're getting information that Night Lords are weak on DPS. Did their Triple Throw get nerfed or something in Chaos?

I've heard some stuff from lolBasil that the Claw Multiplier is nerfed in Chaos from 1.75 (currently) to 1.5 (supposedly), which lowers their overall damage. So, the 250% TT right now is stronger than the 293% TT in Chaos with regards to the supposed Claw Multiplier nerf.

I'd like to see some of this analysis. Numbers say a lot more than a few blurbs.

All classes need upgrades except once again warriors who were balanced after big bang and are even more balanced now.

B> corsair stance on battleship and dash stacking with transform. (maybe barrage move to 3rd job replace shockwave and a new 4th job skill?)

Agreed with the corsair part. I also wish we had Speed Infusion, since Rapid Fire is worthless post Chaos.

that would make sairs op. Im quite sure they will not change sairs, since they deal top dpm. maybe 3rd job a new mob move.

Corsairs aren't top DPM anymore. That's what mechs and DBs are.

As if stance doesn't make mechanics op. Giving sairs the ability to heal and making homing a party skill would make them op, not stance.

Corsairs are top ADVENTURER DPS. Get it right.

Regardless, warriors aren't balanced still, solely due to the defense system. While they can all dish out some heavy damage, Paladins still have legit godmode when potential'd out the ass since STR = DEF.

You forgot Str = Def x 3 from shield mastery + the exclusive 20% achilles + the 5-6 hit ignore from DS + the 40-42% chance to ignore/avoid/block ANY attack.

Yes paladins are rigged with way too much def i admit.

I'd like to see the classes stop being changed... it's a little ridiculous now, every month theres new changes and in some cases complete alterations. I vote for keep as is, pineapple the "balance" all the classes out pomegranate

It's cheap to do and makes nexon a lot of money. Balance aside changing skills is the same as keeping the game fresh and new for long time players. If we had the same skills from 2006 we'd have all quit by now. :/

Keep it up and you'll get another one.

TT doesn't use the claw multiplier so that's irrelevant... I'd like to see evidence whether it's true the TT formula took a nerf though.

TT's formula is 8.4*luk*atk/100 = max, 6*luk*atk/100 = min.

I actually like these changes cuz it gives diversity to the good old maple we all know and hate. 1 day a class is op and the other its just a waste of space XD.

I love these topics. How great.

Anyway, from my estimation, the problem here is mostly because of class additions. So the obvious way to fix most of these problems would be to scrap Resistance, Aran, Evan and Dual Blades. Cygnus is already irrelevant, remove them too. I'll leave Pirates, because they were the only good class addition since this all began(unless you count thieves as added).

Of course, many MANY players would complain about those losses, but lets face it, thats when the REAL balance issues began. With the Explorer classes, the only real balancing that would need to be done is to make Mages a bit more complex(re: useful) and to make Buccaneers equal to their ranged counterparts.

I disagree. We lack the firepower to actually be considered attackers in boss runs.

Oh, I see then. However, some kMS NL's have stated otherwise about a nerf after Chaos like Hamad suggests. So in all honesty, we can't really calculate if there's an actual nerf in TT until we get Chaos ourselves because it's all widespread rumor until actual comparisons are made between post-BB & post-Chaos.

I'd kinda be happy with buccaneers just getting the old CSB back. I liked that xD Would like to see a little more mobility for Buccaneers as well. New attack/changed attack would be pretty cool, but not really necessary.

For my bowmaster i'd like to have Dodge work differently since all it does is increase our pitiful avoid, which is pretty much negligent with the crap avoid formula anyway. Mobility would be nice- equips + thrust = max speed jump = not really mobile enough for me. If we could walk and shoot i think that would be generally better. also: vengeance is kinda lame (and can dragon pulse forceback boss mobs yet? ~__~)

My Shadower is fine. I'm happy with what they have. Sure assassinate's lol4th attack is kinda lame, but i don't use it that often. They should also get rid of that stupid ninja ambush skill since really not a single person thinks/uses it unless they're level 200 and for lulz.

Bishops need some loving too even though they're a support class. I can attack all the hell i want at LHC and BARELY get 10% an hour (which, i'm happy with considering the % per hour before BB was crap). people complain that i can't contribute to killing stuff, but even then the boost in exp is like 300 more exp? the party can kill the entire map faster than i can kill 1 :[ So i just go around healing/buffing people cause doing anything different just makes me use more pots.

my 2 cents Tongue

Takebacker Wrote:corsair stance on battleship

That's the one thing I want, and maybe something more useful over Rapid Fire.

Another thing that needs to be changed is the damage cap. Either it needs to be removed or attacks that do one large hit need to be changed to a multi-hit attack. Dark Knights look like they're as strong as Paladins and Heroes on paper but Sacrifice is limited by the damage cap. It also has barely any range compared to IS and Blast.

Bishops also need a boost. They've gone downhill after Big Bang. They aren't as useful at bosses as they once were too. If they're going to be a support class, they need better support skills. Aside from HS, they don't bring anything important to the table. They could make Holy Shield a lot more useful if it blocked Seduce and Zombify.
