What character is the strongest?

Uh guys, he's only talking about one monster.

I'm glad I'm not the only one not paying attention to things.

Why does it matter who the best class is in a situation that doesn't exist? Do you want to see who can kill Anego the fastest?

Holypie Wrote:I said AM OR Aran.

Why is it either or? You're either the strongest or you're not.

 Spoiler

It's clearly logical to think this because if it's logical to think that corsairs are the strongest 1v1 on a snail with billions of HP and no defense, then it's logical to think that arans are the strongest in mobs when there's 15 snails with billions of HP and no defense.

See where i'm going here?

IllegallySane Wrote:In this thread we find out who don't pay full attention reading posts.

Indeed we do.

IllegallySane Wrote:How often are there going to be 15 monster perfectly lined up for the Aran to mow down? How often are there going to be 15 mobs scattered around within the AM's range of fire? That's why he said EITHER AM or Aran. It's not often the Aran will have 15 mobs right in front of them, but when they do, I wouldn't be surprised if the Aran wipes them out faster than an AM can. Case in point? Combo Peril can probably be built up from 0-100 by the time the AM finishes nuking once, which is essentially a guaranteed mob killer for the Aran.

Never. How often is there going to be a snail with billions of HP and no defense and can't attack you?

I said it before, combo peril sucks (until someone can prove me wrong with math).

You're computer savy, think it be possible to create a program that records how much damage they do over let's say 10minute time frame?

We can all say the numbers point to Corsiars. Than Nightlords, than BMs.

Based on your description, Blaze wiz, Hermit, and F/P Mage will do most damage.

Infinite HP / 40 = Infinite HP done per second

In all seriousness though, Corsair --> BM --> MM (For this situation) (Hero/DRK might pass MM in this situation)

Only reason BM > MM is because snipe caps out at 200k and depending on the stats, BM slowly gets stronger than MM.

NL is near the bottom because they don't have SE (For this situation)

tl;dr: Look at the stickies for the Top DPS thread.

Against a non-boss monster like Big Puff Daddy, BM > MM > Corsair > NL.

This is due to Mortal Blow kicking in when monster HP drops below 50% (assume HP is maxed at 2.1 billion)

Snipe kills all non boss monsters, so by your logic, MM > BM > corsair > NL.

I don't think either one can deal more than 250k damage without the server complaining, though.

Maybe MB can, actually. But it won't count as 100% your kill, if I remember correctly.

Doesn't poison have a maximum DPS after HP reaches a certain point?

To the limit of 250k. Anything with more than a few mil HP but is non-boss can be webbed for massive damage, so

NL > MM > BM > Sair

Excepting monsters with lesser amounts of HP.

IF we are looking at the Main attack i think Corsairs win and NL come in second.

the rest piles up on its own. It is tough to figure out but who ever attacks faster and also how long it takes to kill. If you are talking about using apples NL win with something that takes 15 min not ten minutes to kill.

its not that easy to just say that has anyone seen an extremely potent corsair? or NL? with apple + SE one nl can do like 150k a hit. by piling up 70k-80ks a star. lets just say 75k a star thats more than 200k without shadow partner and we are talking about the best gear seriously i highly doubt thers much of a difference between sairs and NL. only difference i can look at is i hear sairs are slightly faster and NL have an extra hit or 2 i never really studied sairs. but with perfect gear especially with all the attack you can have? that means

43 atk glove, 39 atk pac, 32 atk fs. 60 luk robe or more 105 atk claw and i dont knwo gun specs.

DUDE seirously its hard to even imagine it L> some calculation.

To find out how much damage you do in 10 minutes

1) count how many monsters you kill in 10 minutes
2) multiply by the hp each one has

I believe shadow web still has a limit of dealing 32,767 damage per hit.

NLs have been in denial ever since Pirates were added to the game.

Most Nightlords still falsely believe they are at the top, true, but it's all a matter of how and where really. Corsairs looks much more dynamic and versatile in general, but some areas NLs still manage better.

Also people always forget the simple aspects of taste and preference. I find gaviota and the octopus summons ugly, I do not enjoy the design of the guns and I think the boat could have been made in a less corny way (cannon bathtub much).
On the other hand I do like the dark nature of a Nightlord and find the skills not so tamely looking. For me ninja always beat pirate, and that weight in about 300 times more than the simple damage issue.
