What character is the strongest?
#1
All jobs at lv 200, (shadowers NOT considering meso explosion), all jobs have perfect equips, ie all timeless weapons perfectly scrolled, NLs have all balanced furies (infinite), corsairs have best bullets (infinite), BMs and MMs have best arrows (infinite), etc.

What is the strongest job of all?

In other words, ASSUMING INFINITE healing potions (MP and HP ONLY, no buff potions, no apples, etc, only using their own skills, no party skills from OTHER PPL) over AN HOUR of continuous attacking (please DO consider skill cool-downs), which job will do the most damage over that hour? (also assume the monster has infinite hp, has 0 avoid, has 0 def and magic def)

If you state a job, please specify also if it is secondary-statless or whatever it is.

This, hopefully, is a fun thread to discuss lol.

what are we attacking here

and lol shadowers not counting ME. You realize that Shadowers do more damage with Boomerang Step and Savage Blow than ME, right?

a hypothetical monster that doesn't attack you. it just has a bunch of hp and 0 def and mdef. requires 0 acc to hit.

Corsairs by far

(you've presented the best possible scenario for Corsairs)

If solo, an mp-washed bowmaster I guess, longest needed buffs and basically no 100-attack limit. Though it'll probably actually be like a corsair or something.

Corsairs ideal target is a non-attacking enemy, at which they do more damage than every other class by a wide margin, so ... corsair.

Being strongest... That's not enough information. Highest damage per hit, fastest dps, the range of the attack, and a myriad of other factors play in.
It not even about dps... if you simply aim to sawk a bishop for the duration of your 4th job i guess the big numbers and such might be important, but if you intend to actually play, versatility is where the real power lay. Being able to dish out the highest damage to mobs make you a mage, and their single target ability is mediocre. If you wan't huge damage on a single target, you are a BM or a NL, and loose out on strong mobbing. Avenger is usefull and not that weak, but it can't even begin to compete against say a polearmer DrK or a MM.
Personally I'd say Marksmen and Corsairs win as the most versatile characters, and ergo imo the most powerfull. HP is not even an issue if you don't crave to fight P bean. If so, heroes would be your best bet.

Look at the situation he posted.

I'm actually talking with my friends to make me a 'private' private server and get some people to help me create a 'matrix' like they have available on world of warcraft where it keeps track of the DPM.

Wow.. why as no one posted this link.....
http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7019
he made a thread and a giant excel spreadsheet about this, how about you look around for stuff before posting about it not like it was stickied or anything.. oh wait.. yes it was ^_^ and his chart clearly states that a corsair will win in this situation and he even adds in the 4 second snipe from Marksmen(even tho i hear all the time its glitched and wont work every 4 seconds more liek 5-7 seconds or something)

Single target, Corsair. Mobbing, Arch Mage or Aran.

It's silly to think the aran has worse mob damage than an AM if there's 15 targets right in front of them.

Yea.. might have been a tad off topic then, but still I'm getting tired of how people tend to think damage is all it takes in every sitution.

In this thread we find out who don't pay full attention reading posts.

How often are there going to be 15 monster perfectly lined up for the Aran to mow down? How often are there going to be 15 mobs scattered around within the AM's range of fire? That's why he said EITHER AM or Aran. It's not often the Aran will have 15 mobs right in front of them, but when they do, I wouldn't be surprised if the Aran wipes them out faster than an AM can. Case in point? Combo Peril can probably be built up from 0-100 by the time the AM finishes nuking once, which is essentially a guaranteed mob killer for the Aran.
