Puppets not that useful except for abusing it on mobile bosses and sticking it out of the bosses maximum attack range, and basically beating the crap out of them without being attacled.

I think puppet has some potential, after all... To be changed into something interesting, I mean. Look at Dark Flare, for example. It deals more damage if you are in a party, due to your partners getting hurt. Some thinking out of the box can make something interesting. Maybe a chance to get all the monster's attention for a bit or something. Like "Von Leon has teleported to the most threatening person" and it warps to your puppet :p

Dark Flare's seriously useless when your party's full of high defense tanks (which reduces the damage Dark Flare can deal) or full of high avoid thieves (which makes Dark Flare do zero damage at all). Oh well, at least it's still better than Shandow Web, Shadow Meso, Ninja Storm, and Ninja Ambush.

DBs have the option of buying Non-NX in-game books with Mesos, as they do exist and drop. So that's not a must to "pay" for these skills; it's up to the player whether they want to buy the in-game ones, or the NX ones.

After reading through like at least 5 different buccs posting in this thread, how did I not see any of you DEMAND BETTER GODDAMN STANCE?!?!?! How about instead of Energy Charge giving 90% stance while active, ST give stance, since the time we'd most likely want stance is against bosses anyway and charge isnt active all that often in those situations.
Pretty cool with the mechanics of the other skills, if they change it to pre-BB csb, i wont notice, barrage would be nice to be spammable (might be a bit broken since it autoKBs) and mainly just want a decent damage boost.

Thought of some more ideas. Nightlords definitely need smoke screen. Shadowers stole two moves from us so its only fair. How about shadow partner mastery? It could allow shadow partner to do 60-70% of the user's damage instead of 50% and last longer. They're scrapping sudden raid from dual blades so why not give that skill to nightlords? Dark flare needs to be be given much more range and the ability to reflect damage even if the attack misses. That attack becomes gradually more useless as more luk potential is added and avoid is increased. Triple throw and avenger ought to be redesigned to look "darker" and a bit flashier. They could have done a much better job with triple throw than just recoloring lucky seven.

Because a better Stance is the least of our problems when the massive delays in our attacks make it hard to be a DPS class, and the fact Energy Charge just doesn' charge (hur hur) fast enough at bosses.

Buccs need a skill to replace the useless snatch. Maybe an ultimate, like all the other pirate classes.

We need a Reverse Snatch (aka a true rush aka more distance covered than CSB or Backspin). It'd also be nice if Time Leap became more like a 10 point skill and those 20 SP goes into a new skill or passive.

Hermits could kills mobs as they spawned where mages couldnt stop them if they didnt fly into them, if mobs flew in a different direction than the mages they were screwed. So i wonder if you have no idea of how to play maplestory.

If you mean the boogies that Zakum summons, then yes, Hermits will wipe those out with Avenger... AND NOT JUST HERMITS. All attackers, too! Because those get caught in their line of fire! Aerial summons by Zakum were always taken care of by mages pre-4th job because Hermits had this sucky mechanic back then called claw-punching when things got too close. If you mean the random flying summons, if they're not flying into the mages, chances are, they're not flying into the rest of the team. If they fly low, then they'll get caught in the line of fire and die the same way boogies do.

I have played a mage at 3rd job zakum runs, they are horrible at mob controlling. A hermit handles the flying summons perfectly fine and better than a mage. If the summons fly up and then down into the team they are ontop of the team. And some of them are immune to certain elements, mages really aren't that good at mob controlling in third job compared to hermits at zakum. But whatever, believe what you want, i've been there tried it and seen it.

Unleashing Wrote:-sigh- This is pointless. You have no clue how a hermit was pre Big Bang. Mob control isn't mob control if you can't hit stuff if they are too up in the air, or TOO CLOSE TO YOU. Seriously, a warrior, mage, HECK, EVEN BOWMEN could attack multiple mobs at close range. I still remember an all NL Zakum run where the most hilarious parts came with summons, where 1s showed up EVERYWHERE. Seriously, give it a thought.
