Nexon Wrote:Can it really be five years since Global MapleStory launched? It seems incredible, but it's really been a whole half-decade since the world was introduced to the wonders of Maple World. In that time though, not group of people has worked harder at turning MapleStory into what it is today than our faithful GMs. These are the people who toil anonymously in the treches day in and day out making Maple World a safe and fun place for everybody. For the Fifth Anniversary, we wanted to give the MapleStory GMs a chance to share some of their own special Maple memories.
When you've finished reading the GM's Maple Memories, why not head to this special forum thread or our Facebook page and tell us about yours!
"My experience with MapleStory became exciting when I found the Cash Shop. I discovered pets in MapleStory and found that I had to own all of them. I am now the proud owner of 24 pets, including a Black Dragon. That took me a long time to acquire, by the way. I also purchased countless Cash Shop Surprises to try to get a Pink Bean pet and a Weird Alien. Unfortunately I was never able get either of those. However, Im still on a quest to own all of the pets. Maybe one day!"GM Daliah, Senior Game Master
"The most exciting and thrilling aspect of MapleStory are the events. Theres always something different going on in-game. One day, well have an army of Pink Beans bombarding the towns. The next day, well have everyone screaming, "cakes!" or "pies!" There isnt a normal day in the life of a Mapler. MapleStory isnt just a game. Its a place where I get to hang out and socializewell, when Im not hiding that is!"GM Nimei, Game Master
"One of the things I love about MapleStory is the pets. When I first started working here, I was so excited to get the Jr. Reaper pet! That was several years ago, and now, there are so many more pets to collect! I love their cute little faces." GM Talia, Senior Game Master
"Out of all the memories I have had with this wonderful community, one sticks out in my mind the most. It involves all the players, the events we do for them, and watching them enjoy themselves as the tombstones rained down from the skies! Well, that has actually happened more than once now, hasnt it?"GM Libra, Game Master
"One of my favorite things to do would have to be appearing out of nowhere for just a split second and then disappearing again. Immediately afterward, everyone around would F6 and chaos ensues as people are trying to figure out who that was. Its an amusing game that keeps the players on their toes. Its fun to let players know that we are there, we do exist, and in fact are not robots!"GM Tekonos, Game Master
"I have been playing MapleStory since the early days of Beta. I was there when Pan Lids sold for 400,000 mesos, when Perion channel 1 used to be THE spot, and when level 60 was considered "high level." Ive stuck around with MapleStory for the last six years because it's fun, quirky, and relaxing for me. It was simply different from any other Massively Multiplayer Online games at the time. To this day, it's still unique" GM Cheezpuff, Game Master
"I play MapleStory because it's an easy game for someone who doesn't really play many computer games like me. My favorite aspect about MapleStory is the items that I can dress my characters in that are sold in the Cash Shop. Call me a girly girl, but I like how my characters can attack monsters with style. My character outfits are what makes my characters fierce. When new items are introduced in the Cash Shop, I'm the first to get them. My character has fierce style, and all the monsters know it!"GM Diatia, Game Master
"My favorite MapleStory memory is a GM event called, "Will the Real GM Please Stand Up?" All the GMs danced together as a group with our signature emote face at the end shouting "Jazz Hands!" I was personally in Amoria after our dance taking screenshots with the players, and we had our own "Jump Party." It was definitely a blast interacting with players and having fun!GM Maverick, Game Master
"About three years ago, there was this glitch in-game that caused newbs to be invulnerable. So my first experience in MapleStory was me happily questing on the island and players around me start shouting, "Hacker!" I was trying to figure out where the hacker was, but no matter how much I looked around, I couldnt see one! Then I realized I wasnt taking any damage. Whoops! To this day, I can search up my character and see the reports players left calling me a hacker! F4" Lead GM Tiara, Customer Relations Manager
