Should I ditch my mage?

10 lvl's from AP's into HP (130 to 140), that's 50 less luk, but I can't really care for that. With HB and MG I can take 16k dmg hits now. Enought to survive 2 hits from Horntail or 1 from Tonosoma (whenever he comes... ). Really, I love being a Blood Shadower!

But back on topic: Yeah... Nexon always fixes their own stuff with items you need buy in CS to fix your own gameplay, like safetycharms... but that's Nexon...

What are the chances of getting into a HT or Zak party if you belong to a guild that frequently does Zak/HT and you go with that guild?

Also, how do you guys think mages will do with Pink Been, given that that boss has multiple targets?

Yeah CL is strong and fast making it the best 1v1 for i/l. Just don't compare it to triple throw, or hurricane or something and you're good.

Well I just learned that Archmages are useless for bossing, and that it will be pretty much impossible for me to get into any boss run that is higher than Papulautus (and probably not even pap). I really want to boss (that has been my main motivation for training) when I get to 100. But now it seems that since I am interested in bossing, I've pretty much hit a dead end. So I am STRONGLY considering quitting my mage and making a gunslinger instead.

What do you guys think?

i would make a second account and leech another charecter that u can use for bossing thats what my friend did and he leeched up a night lord in 3 weeks the only way you could do it is with a mage

I've gone to a couple Zakums, Pianuses, Bigfoots, and Palpatuses. It isn't that hard, if your guild has a signup sheet, just sign up first. It will be easier levelling to high levels if you have a purpose in MapleStory. If you just grind emptily, you won't get anywhere. I encourage you to join me on my quest: hurt as many priest infidels as possible. Screw you, leeching backstabbing priests at newties. Stock up on showa sacks now.

Leech... for 10 mil? Wow that's greedy. I trained my low-lvl friends in exchange for pot money, (3-5 mil per 4 hours.) My wallet was never full, but talking friendship and being a friend are two different things. The truth is, if you are helping a lvl 100 friend by leeching them at newts, you can get them like 2-3 levels in 4 hours, more if you have good party.

As for people leeching at newts, an efficient bottom attacker will increase XP gain because more of the map is dying at once. I had the pleasure of training with Kachee and Ooll7021oO a few times, (look them up on ranks,) and TRUST ME, a person of that level nukes the $hit out of bottom newts like a hot knife through butter. My godly mage friends recommended against dual mage split at Newts, but I did it with my GF, we both liked it, and the XP was good. In fact, I got to 160 without ever really training at Skels, and my XP gain has been fine. If you're splitting Newts with a hard-hitting DrK that's the best of all. Hyper Body cuts your pot expenditure by more than half.

Dispel was one of the fun things about being a magician. It gives a challenge. I've tried playing a hero at pap before and all I did was brandish and pot since stance took care of everything. It wasn't really fun to me.

I agree. Dispel does suck, especially when those avatar smega's pop up.

Also, I at quite annoyed at those who consistently ask me for leech...
I should charge them normal price but they pressure me to give it to them for "pot money", just because I'm on their BL.

Oh well, I have to live with it because I didn't have pots to start with. LoL.

Most of the jobs in 3rd/4th that aren't "omg one skill that does over 90000000 damage" type jobs, such as shadowers, mages (until they get maxed ult's, and that's not too usefull for bossing anyway), buccanneers, etc, usually are VERY underrated. They aren't as weak as you'd expect. They just need to know how to be played, for instance combos, different skills, etc.
Really, it's more about the player.
Sure, a dexless night lord could outdamage a mage, but where's the fun in that? If I wanted to spam the same button all day long I'd go play runescape.
