Critical Rate
#21
O_O
Now that I think about it, once Justice patch is released my Archmage will have a 73% crit rate for all skills and a 99% crit rate with CL.

+ 05% Base
+ 08% Weapon
+ 10% Ring
+ 10% Decent SE
+ 10% Phantom
+ 30% Critical Magic
----------------------
= 73% Crit rate with all skills
+ 26% Chain Lightning (with useful CO)
----------------------
+ 99% Critical chance for 145%-165% damage with Chain Lightning. Big Grin
And to think pre-bb archmages had a whopping 0% chance to crit. Stunned

Total for Phantom:

- 5% Base
- 10% Beginner Phantom
- 50% Class Critical
- 10% Explorers Critical ring
- 15% Stolen Sharp Eyes
- 10% Potential Decent Sharp Eyes
- 10% Potential Weapon Crit (Is this max rate for potential critical?)

Total 95% Critical possible with Rapid Fire. (Most DPS)
Total 100% Critical possible with Stolen Sharp Eyes and Ultimate Drive. (For trolling?)

Or are there other ways to boost critical rate more? (Except for skill critical bonuses of course)

The max crit rate I think you can get from potential is 12% off of legendary potential, and the only other way I can think of to raise your crit rate temporarily is from the guild skill.

if anyone is pushing for the last amount of crit, theres the crit bonus from marksman card or 3 thieves set bones on character cards

The 3 theif card set gives 4% crit damage, not crit chance, so the only marksman cards can give + crit rate. Not sure if multiple marksman cards stack though.

It's wrong anyway.
Stolen Sharp Eyes is 20. You're neglecting Judgment and other skills.

Ah ok, sorry, then with stolen sharp eyes it's 105% critical! :+)

And Judgement - Fortune card adds 20% critical rate, but it's only a 25% chance of it happening.

And I'm not neglecting other skills afaik, but please enlighten me! Smile

Once again, incorrect.
Fortune card adds 10% critical, and it'd be ignorant to say all cards have an equal probability of happening. For example, I tend to get the resistance cards more often than the drain card. Not only that but there are 5 cards in Judgment 2, not 4.

Taken from orangemush blog (since Fiel doesn't post beginner skills) - 11 december 2011

Judgement:
When the Card Stack is full, the entire Stack is used up and a random Card is chosen.
Receive a buff depending on which Card you get.

- Fortune Card – 20% critical chance increase
- Misfortune Card – 40% item drop rate increase
- Endurance Card – 20% resistance to states and elements increase
- Drain Card – 5% of your damage will recover HP

But ok yeah, Nexon and random... Tongue

But did the beginner skills get altered then?

Hmmm interesting!

Also 5 cards o.0

Can someone translate them? Especially the thing with the 100% in it! (defense double I guess?)

That's really old, new ones:

Judgement (upgrade): Automatically upgraded at fourth job. Fortune Card – 10% critical chance increase, Misfortune Card – 20% item and drop rate increase, 3 new cards: Endurance Card – 20% increase in status and elemental resistance, Guardian Card – 100% defense increase, Drain Card – 3% of your damage is used to heal HP. When used, 10 Noir Cartes are thrown.

I have no idea what the ingredients are but you can get 10% crit pots...somehow.

Are the recipes rare or something?

edit:
Quote:Major Concentration Serum (Crit/Avoid +10%) x1
- Superior Empty Bottle x1
- Juniper Berry Flower Oil x7
- Advanced Item Crystal x10
- Magic Powder (Purple) x5
Yeah, I'm not an alchemist... 10 item crystals per 2 hours is pretty hefty though. Plus purple powder supply diminishes over time since you can't easily get them anymore. Probably a pretty expensive thing to run all the time, though for people buying decent SE, not so much.

not really, buying decent skills is like an investment, the skill will stay with you forever, these potions... they're going to be draining your pocket a lot.

On that topic, what happens when PvP is removed (assuming it gets taken out in GMS, I hope it doesn't)? Will Decent Skill rent be done for, or is there some other way?
