Class Changing Feature
#21
The only way I could see a class changing system working is if it was similar to the Dragon Quest 9 vocation system, which allowed the player to switch between jobs at will, but the player's level was reset to whatever the job level was. So in this case, switching a level 200 Mercedes to a normal Archer would reset the player's level to 1, but switching back to a Mercedes would reset the level and stats back to 200 and whatever the stats were.

Of course, if they were to do that, then it would still beg the question: "Why would you not just make a new character?"

With new features about, it's clear that Nexon WANTS players to use and play multiple characters. (by the sound of the character deck)

so its even more unlikely than ever before.

If you could class change within your primary class, that'd be an interesting and I'd support it. Reasoning? Most of the sub-classes play pretty similarly so there wouldn't be a huge leap in going from a Hero to a Paladin and most of your gear will still be usable. Of course, it'd require NX like name changes and world transfers.

I don't care, there should ALWAYS be a feature of class changer, so people can change from new classes to old classes. Old classes are always better and stronger no matter what.

Can Nexon make a new game called "Old Classes MapleStory"?

There's just no reason for this feature to exist in MapleStory. You can level a character from 1 to 200 in a few months time now (provided you have the will). You can get to 120 in only a few days. Though after reading this statement from you:

I've concluded you're crazy, so there's not much reason to reply to this thread in the first place.

What I would like to see would be more like this: You can get another job, with limited, weaker skills. Like a light version of a class. Maybe limit it to only your class (ie. war job can only take another warrior as secondary job).

Though, for sake of balance, it should be only available at lvl 180 or even 200.

If you don't like mercedes, you will not like bowmasters. This thread can't be serious...

No, you're wrong! If you don't like Mercedes, then you'll love Bowmasters, because if you don't like new stuff, you'll love old stuff!

Then why not do the old stuff from the beginning?
As in, if you think the old classes are stronger, why bother playing new classes?

That already exists. That's the entire concept behind job advancing.

OR!

They could be a stronger version that levels faster but only goes to 120!

Yeah, that's definitely not true at all.

Mercedes are more like Dual Bladers than they are like Bowmasters.
In other words, if you don't like Mercedes, you probably just don't like fun, so you'd probably be thrilled playing a Bowmaster.

Ok, it's quite obvious you're trying too hard here.

Also, lol @ Straw man syndrome.

Ehh, no thanks. I'd rather keep my Mercedes than to change my class.
