Class Changing Feature - Saphiratamer - 2012-01-11

In my opinion, Nexon should make a new feature called Class Changer. For example, if high level Mercedes find their class boring or weak, they should upgrade and change their class into Bowmasters/WA. Same as Mechanics if they find their class boring, upgrade it to Corsairs. People always like old classes better than new ones.

inb4 people claim this is too PS-like

also,

inb4 Nexon sells job change coupons

This idea might have had some merit pre-BB, when getting a char to fourth job would take months, and 200 took years.
Now, when you can get a new char to 120 in a week or two without breaking a sweat, there's really no point.

No fun in experiencing a class if you don't play it from scratch, in my opinion.

To do such thing it would req nexon to remake every single class and make them more similar to eachother, take away the grinding advantages of some jobs and make class changes cost a decent amount of money. They would need all bowmen to use the same weapon, all warriors to use the same weapon etc etc because I dont see why people want to go from mechanic to corsair when they are 2 different classes with only one thing in common, the weapon.
If you really are bored of your current char, go make a new one. Everyone has to go through the early levels and it isnt THAT hard anymore.

They already had a Rebirth feature for JMST, got scratched.

Class Changing Feature - HKSmaster - 2012-01-11

your wish has been granted, but you must pay 100k per class change
i honestly wouldnt like this idea (would take the fun out of this game pretty much), and nexon would lose alot of money over this(never a good thing)

This option already exists in the form of PServers...

But people, including me, find Mercedes boring, they should change their class into Bowmasters.

So make a bowmaster. Use the Mercedes' skill to level the BM 10% faster.

Mercedes? Boring? Weak? Compared to Bowmaster?!

.....

lol

Besides, why would you want to get rid of a Soul Link character like that?

My thoughts exactly.

Then you shouldn't have bandwagoned like everyone else and made one...but now that you have, do what the others told you and make a Bowmaster and link it to the Mercedes for 10% exp boost.

Only the extremely lazy people can't get a char to 120 in 2 weeks now.

There are a couple of problems with this idea.

One is the fact that, even in a version where leveling is extremely simple, there are still some classes that level faster and could be used to fast-track someone to the class they actually want to play without playing it.

The primary issue, of course, is the fact that Nexon's entire scheme kinda requires that people stay interested in the game and keep playing. If people only have to get one character to a high level to enjoy all the classes, what's the incentive for them to keep playing after they get tired of grinding on that one character?

Because people can't buy new equips? Wut?

JMST rebirth isn't the same as class changing. One is two classes in one. Other is one class morph into another class.

Not sure if troll, or bitter self-proclaimed "veteran".

Class Changing Feature - Corn - 2012-01-11

This is a bad idea but Nexon will make a lot of money off of it if it ever does happen.

Class Changing Feature - Fuzz - 2012-01-11

If you want class changing, go play Eden Eternal or something.

I quit that because there's no race change, though!
