About Aswan from the name i thought its desert map or oasis.
About his copied skills i thought its thing about flipping a random card to use a certain skill , but it can always be a new system special for him "steal mode".

Well the Black Mage's lab is around Magatia SO WHY NOT EXPLAIN WHAT PUT HIM THERE. Unless we get another god save us from the queen in that place again.

His skills appear to shoot out orange cards from his body.
Here's what I'm hypothesizing based on the trailer.
He uses the card buff, and it gives him a skill from a list( hurricane, that typhoon, the melee hurricane, etc.)
While he uses those skills, cards shoot out of him to damage the monsters.
Once he uses up 40 cards, he must recast the buff and rerandomize what skill he gets.
Seems like a cool system, but a bit too luck based.
Then again, I could be severely off, but this is what I see based off this trailer.
Some skills I saw were Hurricane, heavens hammer, somersault kick, and triple throw.
It'd be interesting if the pool included one from each class.

Not as they showed all his skills and passive , they can be didnt bother to show you it (even cast it , its just a trailer) because its a common thief skill by now.

Aswan might really be an Ariant-related content because if you look at the conference where they show the structures of Aswan, you might see the same designs of buildings in Ariant for some houses inside:f6:

So, so, so, those weapons are Phantom's, but they're not really equips, more like the equips that transform you into the class representatives at Ellin Forest PQs, they only show up when you use a certain skill, I guess.

They really put all their effort into Phantom. You can see it in that video that the job which shows the poorest set of skills is the buccaneer. I'm so disappointed I can't even express it.
