Incredible update is incredible. (Little bird on the ground in the first picture )

Not sure if I like that ''collector's edition'' bit though. Basically, if you want that exclusive stuff you'd have to repurchase the game? I think I kinda want it. Good thing Terraria is dirt cheap to begin with, I doubt the collector thingy will cost very much. Maybe like 15~20?

Going to keep an eye on the details on it. Terraria is definitely one of my favorite games so I wouldn't really mind paying a bit more. inb4 Collector's Edition comes with 12inch Guide.

I'm guessing the "Robotic" forms of the 3 big bads is a hint that the possible "Alien Worlds" update may be closer than we thought.

Reading through the wiki...pomegranate just got real

Hardmode is a hardened version of normal world you are used to. It will be introduced in 1.1 patch. You get there by defeating the Wall of Flesh in The Underworld.

Hardmode has many tougher challenges and monsters:

• Your world will be blessed with 3 new ores. (Cobalt, Mythril Ore, and Adamantite Ore.
  
• The existing bosses will come back for revenge as Skeletron Prime and the The Destroyer.
  
• Lots of existing monsters will be replaced by harder counterparts. I.e, Corruptor.
  
• The Corruption will be able to spread through almost anything. The only known thing it won't go through is The Hallow.
  

The one thing I liked was this:

• Player will detonate after death.
  

I'd really like to see more pics of stuff you guys have built, so to hopefully encourage that, here's a few things that I have made:

My base. Isn't much, but it gets the job done.

Wanted to make something special to commemorate the first ever demon altar I found, so I made this.

Lighthouse. Not really happy with how it turned out. I was thinking about putting in a neat spiral staircase design that I saw someone else make.

Created an infinite obsidian generator on accident while cave exploring, so I went ahead and built a mini-base over the top of it.

I'd really like to see more pics of stuff you guys have built, so to hopefully encourage that, here's a few things that I have made:

The only screenshots I took are in my steam account, and I haven't looked into how to post them elsewhere. Even then it's been a while, and I never did get a full on base built since the friend I was playing with wanted to jump worlds so often. I mean, I sorta had one; an arch over spawn; but it was so imbalanced and didn't look that good at all. I had wanted to span it from one mountain to another, but my friend was OCD about leveling the ground and had destroyed said mountains by the time I was starting to get a ceiling on the arch.

One remark on that obsidian generation base though. Dig out single blocks 2-3 spaces around the perimeter of water and place torches in those in order to light up the nearby area. Otherwise I like the way you've put things together; feels homey.
