Um...they're all named after people? Each year they got a list of 26 names for potential hurricanes (A...B...C...). O_o

My power went out several times. It was really annoying because I now have 2 leaves tacked onto my LoL account D=.

My neighbor's basement is flooded though, ha ha.

The damage caused to HWY 12 in Hatteras is heart-wrenching. 2,500+ citizens are now stranded all along the Outer Banks.

Oh my God that's horrible. Like punch is probably right by the water and the flooded and high tides and pomegranate probably fucked him up.

I should meet up with punch and buy him Cheesecake Factory.

Apparently, there's a new inlet on Hatteras Island in NC.

Power went out all day and my gutter fell off the house. Other than that, completely fine. A transformer blew out down the street though.

Powers been out for almost 2 days now . My friend who works for BGE says we'll probably not have power until tuesday night, and it sucks because winnie is coming that night, and we've been planning this vacation for 2 months now.

Power was out for about 26 hours. We were prepared for it to be out for most of the rest of the week. Hope everyone is okay.

Feels good to be living in a virtually 'no-natural disaster' zone. a big HAHA to everyone else.

No rain for Texas. I know we were way out of its path, but alas the poor plants.

That's a dumb thing to say. I wear skirts almost exclusively in the summer.

Power officially back on. YESSSS

Just got electricity+other services back today. About.. five (complete) days without power or running water. Lost the fridge stock, about all that happened to our personal belongings+property. There are still lines down to the ground south of my house, but it really isn't an issue because you can get by, and I have power. My friend probably won't have power till the 7th, though, so there's still a lot of work to get done.

On a side note, tons and tons of generators are being stolen. Some people even started old lawnmowers and left them out there so it sounded like it was going still.

In other news, Hurricane Katia is strengthening and is heading towards the U.S. Don't expect to have your power on again for more than a week.

Wait, what? People are stealing generators and then turning on lawnmowers in their place so the owners of the generators won't know they're gone? Won't the LACK OF ELECTRICITY kind of tip them off?
