Where do you live punch?

I heard on the news rockaway is mandatory evacuation zone...I live pretty close to there so now I'm worried about my power....

Still got power and the phones are still working too. Just heavy rain outside.

Wish I had more to do though.

It's already raining and where I am it'll apparently get worse. I remember Hurricane Isabel so I'm not laughing this off, but I'm not crapping my pants either. I expect the power to go out soon for me though.

Oh, man. You should've heard my mother on the phone yesterday. My dad and I were laughing our asses off so god damn hard at her because she was saying sh'it like it's the beginning of doomsday and sh*t.

Good god. She and I have been through hurricanes my entire life. Why the hell would she start wigging out about it now? My dad, his girlfriend and I are sitting here in our house just chillin' out, watching TV, playing games and going about our regular business like it's just another day.

It's fun, though, to watch the idiots running around outside, trying to surf, trying to swim, and a bunch of other shenanigans on the local news.

The media blew this out of proportion.
You should see how annoying it gets here in SoCal when it rains for more than a few hours.

The projected path of the eye of the hurricane from Weather.com seems to have gotten closer to where I am. :/ This worries me greatly. I can only hope the winds will stay below 80 when it passes through.

It's been a boring day for me. I wasn't expecting much here but at least a tad bit more rain.

Well, this storm impressed me not at all.
However, I did just go running, and there were 2 trees down on the trail (within 30 feet or so of each other). One's roots had been undermined, and the other had just broken. Fairly young trees, though.
Pissed that the games I was supposed to be reffing got canceled for absolutely nothing. It did less than a small summer thunderstorm. Rolleyes

My mom said everything was ok. It was mostly just rain and a lot of wind. However, in her town there were a lot of downed trees and power lines.

Call your newsstation it's a hurricane not a fucking tornado.

Jesus Christ am scared my power will go out or one of the two huge trees by my house will fall over now because of Dust Bunny.

I love how people who are most likely unaffected/not in the hurricane's area are laughing it off as not a big deal even though I'm losing power.

./sarah and takebacker

Shikage's just crazy.
