How many Black Knights (Black Wings Generals) are there really?

That was something I believe Nexon NA made up on the spot. I don't believe kMS used the same backstory.

Except that quest data is actually in game. the name might have been changed but Kyrin's father does exsist in KMS too.

One rule about an MMO is that it doesn't end; the only way it ends is when either

A)Game runs out of plot material
B)Players all quit
C)Company stops making extra content


Besides, even if we get a MapleStory 2, chances are we'll be starting off fresh anyways (what, you really thought your 2xx Night Lord with his Furies was going to get carried over to the next segment?); and what plot would there be to cover in Maple 2? Reviving the Black Mage plotline just makes this into a console game, which I don't want to see unless Aran, Evan, Mercedes, Boralis, and Krytus are the main cast, with Valfar being an optional character.

Furthermore, Maple needs a serious anime rework - the last edition was done on the basis that Maple had a crappy story. This time, we cover the Black Mage arc - and then we dub that crap. Or at least make a comic book of it - that way it gets out of the gaze of the weeaboos.

There's numerous amounts of resources for them to use, storywise. It wouldn't be that hard to create new areas - hell, make a user-created area event. Just keep the Narutards and Bleachfegs out of it.

Actually, in the meeting hall (The place where all the classes and instructors get together) Aran appears as female. However, in the past leafre area there is a quest where you have to do something for Maha and during that quest Aran is male.

actually I wonder the canon of that image. lilin and neinheart are strongly suggested to have no actual communication with each other since he left, and no one on Rien seems to know anything about Ereve. Also, while I do believe the alliance thing, I find it hard to believe that all of the resistance went to Ereve despite their hate of the knights.

@Raul - Sorry about the confusion. I merely meant I got to see the area past the initial Electrophant spawn (just prior to the Gryphon area) when I was doing the ReVersal and Subani's Legacy Part 2 quests.

And yeah, the Knights went as far as to even reject Mushroom Kingdom's plea for help (apparently). Sounds like Cygnus is a conceited bish.

Yeah, the Cygnus Knights are very picky about what they choose to help. I don't think she's conceited, I think that she (or her advisers or knights) have pet projects, and only do things that are beneficial to them.
