I believe someone said that cards were unique to you. Well, I just entered a map, and found a Jr. Balrog card sitting there for me to loot.

Just throwing that out there too.

I can confirm this aswell.
I went on the boat from VIC to orbis, two Balrogs spawned killed them both and the other person there could pick up
the second card.

They are unique to you, Crimson Balrog must be a (strange) exception.

Wait, what? You can potential the book?
What... what happens if you nuke it? @_@

Oh, as for cards and the picking them up deal, boss cards are handled differently than normal mook cards.
Easiest to tell because bosses will keep dropping their card when you have it already, normal guys will not. (that or freak luck is involved in my case)

So you have to get a set before you can view all the other ones?

You can't potential a book. Those potential stats are from collecting sets.

after doing some non-instanced bosses, it seems that bosses don't follow the rule, i killed 2 of those aliens in omega (not zeno, the octopus one) both dropped card, even though i had already grabbed one earlier, same with the master dummy, so it seems that non-instanced bosses drop the card "free for all"

Ah, that makes sense, I guess.
Not as much as just adding the stats without labelling it as a potential item, but hey, Nexon. >_>

Until you type in the monster's name (preferably with correct capitalization, spacing, and spelling) in the text box to the left of the search button. Rolleyes

Silly me for completing sets, thinking it had to be unlocked.

We've been through this once...

Boss cards are NOT unique to you (this is why you can get 2-3 of them to drop on 1 kill). Normal mob cards are.
