Monster(ous) Book pineapple up.

Well, just as I said multiple times since Japan MS released their monster book, Nexon has shown that they are incapable of properly adding content like this.

List of issues currently involved with the monster book

-Some cards you had pre-big bang are retained. Not all of them, just a random handful. I've got 81 (I had 300+)
-Retained cards that form sets are unequippable. Can't even double click them.
-Involved with the two above...: you can't get those cards again because all cards are one-of-a-kind. This was an intentional feature but it just makes it impossible to fix the issues ourselves.
-Tons of cards that we don't have/won't ever have are in the book, specifically Pachinko. I don't want to discount Shanghai but for now they can be counted too.
-Some cards that we should have are not in the book such as Strange Pig on Evan's farm (JMS doesn't have this monster). This could cause some problems for those of us who have the card since they didn't delete previous book data for whatever reason.

There's probably a ton more but yeah. Not that I expected anything different from Nexon but I'm pretty bummed because in spite of hating the EASY MODE monster book I was looking forward to refilling it and now mine is glitched to pomegranate. Thanks Nexon.

I noticed you cannot check the information on cards you currently have, i was a little happy at first thinking we have all the cards that we collected last time, but checking through the book that was not the case as Sarah mentioned above.

Yea, I can't see monster stats/drops either and it's not a case of needing more than 1 card because it simply doesn't allow you to do that =/

You can check stats using two different methods. Either searching for the monster in the book or by clicking on it in game.

I have however not found a way to equip the different sets, anyone can help with that?

I can equip a set just by clicking the set tab and choosing which to equip, but nothing happens when I click on the card inside the book to check stats =/

Search is disabled. Only way to check is to double-click the monster.

Just checked the damages. Same issues with using sets. Cards went from 121 -> 34. I noticed that the cards kept seemed to be the ones I had more than 3 of, but I'll have to double check. But there does seem to be a relation since the only cards I have now are the nub island ones, two bosses, and some guardians in ToT.

EDIT: Personal update, getting new cards leads to the same problem. Obtaining a new set automatically put it into the one selected, but I still cannot change sets. Working on completing a second "New" set now to see if I can at least select between the two.

The one thing I see in common with this is that the functions that we cannot use right now all had Japanese text in Tespia.

Kinda makes sense if you compress an information from [0;5] into [0;1] that only those higher than 3 would be "rounded" to 1.

Try typing in the full name of the monster, with capitals. That's the only way I can get it to work =/

Oh, I didn't even notice there was a hardly noticable text field to the side of it.

I got 2 new sets which I had no cards of before the patch (Kerning square and Rien), and I cannot switch to either of them from kerning, which defaulted to being selected when I completed it, but I had stirge cards from before the patch.

Yeah, my book is pretty F'd in the A.

Did a search for a monster, and i could use the page button to scroll through all the monsters that way.

Cannot click on the Edelstein set that i just finished, and it did not become the active set when i finished it.

Another interesting thing. Don't know if it's intended or not, but you can't view the Monster book stats on ships. HP/MP etc appear, but drops are not shown.

I realised why only certain cards were retained.

After Big Bang monsters changed levels, as we all know, and when Nexon Japan made the changes they made new IDs for the new cards to match the changed colours instead of just overwriting the old cards. So the only cards we retained are the ones who didn't change colours (mostly low-level red cards, a couple of bosses)

Glad that the clicking issue isn't related to retaining cards.

Really hate the drop rate though. I'm at 150 cards already; completely done Victoria Island except Jr. Balrog, Sr. Balrog and the Mushroom Kingdom Chancellor which Nexon fucked us out of by not resetting the quests even though I reported it on Tespia. (thanks Nexon)
