Megaman Legends 3 Cancelled

What's with the sudden lack of Megaman?

No Megaman in MvC3, now this?

Megaman is this generation's "Sonic".

It's a bit saddening to see the franchise die like this, Megaman has been one of my favorite series since I was a kid. I'll be waiting for Legends 3 just as long as I'll still be waiting for a Viewtiful Joe 3 now

I'll never see a Megaman X 9 or 10 now!

I realize your comment might have not been meant to be taken fully serious, but there are many other factors that played a role in all those horrible Sonic games, THAT ACTUALLY GOT RELEASED, so it is unfair to say he is like Sonic.

It is just time to accept Megaman's age and that he isn't as popular as he used to be and wish him a happy and peaceful death. Better now than to see Megaman remade into something like the gritty modern day shooters trying to make Megaman appeal to the masses.

but i NEED games that are more than "shoot this Nazi", the megaman series was good in how it wasn't easy to beat, i like the difficculty.

This is a real shame to hear. I never did get into the battle network series after playing just one game of it; and to be honest, I lack the patience to be "good" at many of the others despite owning them. The legends line really caught my attention though and I loved the overall package it offered. Seeing how many GBA games I still have and enjoy; my unwillingness to have two generations of the same console at the same time; not being overly impressed by in store demos; and now this, my likelihood to buy a 3DS has fallen dramatically. Now I just need to wait for a review of Paper Mario 3DS before that choice is final.

Somewhat off topic: Is DSi-ware available on the 3DS? I haven't done any research, and it most likely isn't given the name, but having Link's Awakening again would be a factor towards my interest as well. Granted I still own it, but I sold my GBA and every other game. Kept it since it was a pivotal point in my gaming history.

There is DSiWare in the 3DS shop, but its only a select handful of titles. I know for sure Shantae is one of them, but I don't remember the rest

Looks like the guy bailed at the right time, Capcom’s really going down the drain fast these days.

It isn’t surprising at all that it got cancelled. It always seemed like they never wanted to make it in the first place. Then they come up with crazy ideas of charging people for a demo and then using that as a base to decide whether or not to continue the game.

It’s a pretty poor show though to build up a big community involvement and then just cancel it. But hey it’s okay I’m sure there will be a new version of Street Fighter IV out next month we can all buy instead.

Way to throw the fans under the bus, for MML3's cancellation, Capcom.

That still shows a chance but it's fairly unlikely. I would never give up really so going to just participate in certain things now..won't really waste my time horribly if I just sign petitions and stuff.

The fans seem to be intensely passionate about this and all the petitions/servbot registers over 8000 from the 5000 two days ago now ridiculous. I joined as a servbot still want this game to be made..If anyone cares they should go to the devroom group on the unity site, register, join that group, then join to be a servbot..Kay.
