Empress's Minions drop Lv.140 equips.

Well alright then. I guess that would make it easier to tell when something is hitting one's character or not, but if that's what they were shooting for they could have easily implemented the option to NOT SEE the damage done to or by other players.

Guard is done randomly for any class who wears a shield I'm pretty sure.

I think you might be a bit misinformed. For as long as I've been playing my Paladin, wearing shields has never caused a "GUARD" to occur. There is a skill called Guardian, which allows players with shields equipped to block attacks, but that prevents anything from popping up at all rather than a purple/orange GUARD, instead it has a large blue shield appear and spread some wings that knock the monster back. Additionally, Guardian was only ever available to Heroes and Paladins, but after Big Bang it was removed from the Hero skillset and left to be a Paladin exclusive skill.

Of course, my above paragraph only holds true if shields weren't changed at all with Chaos and/or Jump. In which case you may very well be correct and I just made myself look silly.

Well no matter what, its a welcome sight seeing those items drop from the minions. It will help fund the "unsuccessful" runs. I am guessing those blue gems are the Soul Stones, i was very happy to see how many of those dropped in that one run. The only item I really want is the Cygnus empress ring, and that is more of just as a status symbol.

I wouldn't worry about not killing the boss or anything. There is definetely gonna be hackers in some way killing that boss like crazy. So getting the 140 equips is no problem. A few months at most and there should be a bunch in the market. Also ppl will be dupeing stuff too so yea.

I think the GMs will be monitoring the empress runs for awhile after the patch for hackers.

Pb/ht/zak are currently hacked repeatedly but things could change with the chaos update.

Well Marty, if we're just aiming for minion drops of equips and not trying to actually kill empress, 2 party straight guild only runs would be very doable.

I don't think Khaini has the resources to actually beat her though, maybe scania or windia but I doubt even Broa and Bera can match. My guess is that Empress drops a craptonload of equips when she dies, and the minions drop one or two.

Nah we can get away with less people. It won't be as much profit as PB and we usually use like 2-3 parties for that. If they drop in chaos and not jump then i'll even solo on my own. 600m hp isn't that bad at all.

Bera could indeed have the resources to pull these kind of runs, only thing bera is lacking is organization like windia had when they defeated PB first (iirc was windia but i may be wrong.)

I don't think so. Those kms players were showing some very impressive damage on a mob with such high pdr. And the vid ended after she did that 840m hp heal, so they still had a lot of damage they had to do. Coupled with damage reflect and meh. Assuming we can get constant crashes, maybe, but difficult at best. The minions are very doable though.

I'm quite amused they made it so you don't have to kill the boss to get the wonderful equips. They probably did it because they were aware how much a pain she is to fight. This may mean the prices of the equipment will probably be lower because of more supply, but as long as it's not 100% it should still net a recent amount of money.

As for 2 parties that'd be the standard crashing party and ranged party. May not even need a complete crashing party since we're not worrying about minions doing dmr since they don't have it(?). Maybe 1 party farming runs? Idk, with just 1 party it'd end up taking a while but the splits should be fantastic.

It doesn't really have to be. Could be anyone since some of us have the power to solo for equips. 6 people would down an instructor in like 5 min or less. I think warrior DRs, but i haven't seen him do it. The latest show i think the 1.6b ones doing reflect i think.

The only way PB would be money is if he drops good recipes.

If you're talking about empress runs, we would just take everyone with good damage/something to contribute. Marty was thinking about bringing an evan i think which would be cool because GI affects us all.

Man, what ever happened to killing bosses for the drops to make your party / group stronger? Now it's all about getting the drops for the money.

I remember when people used to kill cZak for the helm to gear everyone up or kill HT / PB for MW30 for everyone, now it's just "Kill said bosses and sell the drops for money."

Eventually, everyone in your "group" has MW30 and their 3-lined CZak Helm.
From there, all you can do is sell stuff.

No, I understand that, but I'm talking about people who sell the stuff right off the bat and the only way your group can get "upgraded" is by buying it off your own group for retail.
I mean back when people did full on HT group runs for mastery books, it was more or less a "point" system whatnot, but nowadays, if MW30 drops from HT and someone in your group needs it, they need to either buy it for retail price from their group or they're SoL until Chaos comes out, unless they can solo HT on a regular basis.

That's where the convo pretty much went. They plan on selling the drops from day 1 of them downing the CE and/or her subordinate adds, and if people want the 140 equips as an "upgrade", they're forced to buy it off their own group.

I'm probably just being nostalgic in where everyone had an equal shot at getting stuff instead of only the richest of the rich getting first crack at it.
