They're just saying what this patch means to them personally and defending themselves. I completely agree with them, if my main was a NL I'd be kinda annoied too. (And VERY anxious for the thief jump patch!)
How would you feel if next patch buccaneers get pickpocket and meso explosion? (Not going to happen, but that's basiclly what just happened.)

There is no Thief Jump patch..
There were 3 parts to it and this is the final one.

True, Illusion Step and the effect of getting 1 second of 100% critical for every successful MISS from Dodge do seem to be thief related skills since their known for high avoid...

Wow.....that is really amazing. If that ability to evade comes in this patch (as opposed to being a fluke, sometimes toad will miss me 6+ times in a row but normally it's about a miss/hit/miss/hit ratio) then that makes BM's even stronger than I thought. The main weakening aspect of BM's in terms of theoretical dpm vs actual dpm is that we need to start up cane again after every time we get hit unlike all other classes.

seriously. nexon korea should just do ninja vs pirates update + legendary archer or something right after. They'll probably do their next big super jump patch like at their next major holiday.

"Ninjas Vs Pirates" would be an awesome way to release those updates, maybe that is why they left those precise two jobs out of jump, it would make sense.

As for the archer changes, it is obvious that some of the new skills will get nerfed and some buffed. For example, Illusion step is obviously gonna get nerfed as it gives an archer higher avoid than that of a thief.
Second, I believe illusion step is the only thing thielves can complain about. You cannot complain about arrow drain because you never did when arans or battlemages got a drain skill (and even buccs). you cannot complain about Double jump because FJ is s till superior and you didn't complain when WH got DJ. You cannot complain about hurricane because... it's been there for years, same for wind walk.

Thieves need new original skills, specially Night Lords which use almost the same skill from 1st job to 200 (L7 and 3T), the ones you're complainig about have been not original nor exclusive for long time now.

I highly doubt it. Not even Nexon is dumb enough to update 3 job groups while leaving two at a horrible disadvantage in comparison.

No, no, don't get me wrong. It's just that archers now have from us: Drain, speed, avoid, flash jump, dark sight (ok, only the cygnus), all in one. That's basically all a Night Lord has. Then add their summons, puppet, link with their bird, higher mobbing range, and better DPS. And most of it, gotten even before us. 30-60 speed at lv 10-30, flash jump at second job, not having to care for arrows from 2nd job, etc...

All that in one.

It's like saying "Why would you want to make a Night Lord?"

So, Bowmen are the new Assassins, after this patch.

Watch Assassins become the new Gunslingers and Bandits the new Pages in the next patch.

I see your point, but you got to realize that you're complaining about a job that is 1 step ahead of Thieves, because that is. If Nexon announces there wont be changes for Thieves and pirates for whatever reason, or they do implement changes and these sux, then you can complain, as of now, Its like complaining about why are archer's 4th job skills stronger than thieves 3rd job skills.

I think this kind of obligates Nexon to do a great job with the Thief and Pirate updates. Again, NL's need it the most as 50% of their skills are outdated and the other 50% are useless.

Maybe it's time for a 2nd "possible thief changes" thread.

Semantics. There will be a thief update, whether it will or will not be called jump is something else entirely.

Edit: I thought of this and posted it on SW:

Press any arrow key + skill key to move swiftly in that direction. (up and down included) If no arrow key is held flash jump will go forward.

If you FJ up or down, you're allowed 3 FJs before hitting the ground. (just thought of this next part) While in the air, you receive 10% damage for each subsequent FJ. (1.3x damage after the third FJ until you hit the ground)

I actually thought of something like Flash jump mastery. Where attacking before landing from a flash jump grants 100% criticals, or something, and also lets you perform real double jumps, aside. Of course, first they need to get rid of the lag from flash jump, and the delay to attack.

I like to think warriors took it pretty well. There was only one complaint about how Dragon Blood got changed from attack to adding str. But that is about it.

No one from GMS should care about that. It's a MASSIVE buff because they get +60 str and can use energizers anyway.

People didn't care about the Warrior Update because it was, I can't believe I'm saying this, a good update by Nexon. Heroes maintain their power. Dark Knights get Dark Impale to even out the scales and to have some of their worthless skills buffed (and Dragon Blood is fine for the reason Takebacker mentioned). Paladins can take a beating like none other while still dealing respectable damage. This is all wonderful. Mage update was where things started to go stupid.

Besides the random updates to the summons, big bang, no decent upgrade to flame gear to warrant making a ua mage (flame gear still doesn't stack with mist post jump), and a lack of some new skill animations, what was stupid about it?
