MapleStory : Path of the Hunter...?
Joe.2 Wrote:I think it would be fine for regular monsters to drop the cards at the same rate they did before our book got taken away. It actually required some effort, but nothing too frustrating, except for those rare spawn mobs like fierries and jr. boogies, which I don't think would be a problem, since I believe they have pure spawn maps of almost every mob now. Bosses like HT and zak were fine too I think, with a close to 100% droprate.

The only rate I think should change would be for area bosses, not only was it hard finding them with everyone hunting them, but the card droprate was terrible, I think it was same as regular mobs.

Agreed. There's no good reason to drop both the number of cards necessary and increase the rate they drop except to make it another useless feature that only serves to benefit those who care about big numbers. They should have went with one or the other (preferably one card so the shuffle never occurred again)

@Berzerk: Even if they had them, the chance of them actually giving them back is astronomically small for a few reasons. First, because they're a bunch of dicks. Second, they don't know how to program and I imagine this runs on a bit of a different system. Finally, they wouldn't want to desecrate a "new feature" by implementing it with a bunch of people already having mostly completed it.

No faith in Nexon America.

Question. If you already have a card, can you still see it getting dropped and pick it up again for null effect? It would be way better if you don't see it drop anymore once you have it, so other people can also pick it up. I can see people with Chaos Zakum cards picking them up again, not letting others have the chance.

Chaos bosses have the same cards as their regular versions. (Chaos Zakum drops Zakum Card).

Oops, meant regular Zakum, got mixed up with byakugan's post. XD
Anyway, same question.

It would specially be annoying at party quests like Hoblin King, to have randoms picking up cards multiple times...

Argh. I'm seriously considering downloading JMS. Too bad, I'm not sure if it's even possible to play it, and I cannot understand Japanese. Well...

I'd say ludi path of time.

I dunno, Choco looks like a monster that would come from Masteria or something.

Choco looks more like a Cerebes from El Nath honestly. But the background of the map is in Leafre for some reason.

Choco's phantom is coming out of a dog that looks like one of the Edelstein guard dogs. The ones that surround Gabriella. Leafre background, though.

Choco's from Minar Forest. Maybe because he's a dog with somehow a wolf aspect looking like the Wolf Farm in Minar, for Evans. :S

I have extreme faith that they are bumbling idiots who don't play their games and are fueled by greed and the tears of children.

HAHAHAHA, QFT

I seriously doubt MS Japan did this alone,
Mostly because it doesn't seem like the graphics "Style" they normally do
though, MS Japan could have done the coding for it

As for the idea of this being implemented in MS Global,
I would say yes; Since I never fully did collect the cards.

(Also, Do love that gun the two ppl are holding, kinda looks like a magnum o3o )

It is only possible to pick up one. After you pick up one, you will never see that card drop again.

What if two people do not have a card and it drops in front of them. Free for all theft match?

Why don't we all suggest it to the nexon forums since they seem to somewhat read it?
This is a really cool thing and I wish we had it, it's almost like torturing a little kid with something he'll never get.
