MapleStory : Path of the Hunter...?

Has anyone heard of this before?


JapanMS' patch is scheduled to end in 1 hour and Spadow posted that image on EllinForest as a guess of what's to be implemented.

I've never heard of this and since it's all... well-drawn and not in-game screen shotty, I assume it's something more solid than a minor event. I could be wrong, though.

JMS version of Aftershock, maybe? I won't get my hopes up, but it's possible, though extremely doubtful.

"Path of the Hunter" or "Hunter's Road."

Hunter's Road sounds something like... Boss Rush with some quirks. Or a monster raid, dunno.

Hmmm, maybe it could be a new map? Just like Neo Tokio but maybe taking place in a city like london that's being raid over by a criminal organization and you will take part in the resistance during the quests?

I don't know... It really could be anything, but the 2 gunslingers kinda give the feeling of a new class, wich is quite unlikely.

ANOTHER GOD DAMN ONE, NEXON JP? SERIOUSLY? They do this every 3 months or so. They never release any real content during Spring ~ mid September. >_> It's just event after event after event.


That and events from last patch were extended.

There seems to be no half-decent rewards, either.

Hold on. I'll get more details in a minute. I need to transfer some stuff to my Viper first.

What I saw so far, though, is that every character was given this book in their equipment inventory that gives +1 to all stats. I assume that the more cards you accumulate, the higher stats your book gives. Pretty cool, but I don't think this should have been implemented alone. :|









I accepted a quest from the lightbulb above my head and I was warped to Perion. This guy had a completed quest for me and when I talked to him, he gave me a ring and a medal. Both have shi'tty stats, but I guess you can upgrade them by completing quests or accumulating enough of these coins.



The next quest, I'm ordered to find this guy :

This doesn't have a time limit, so I'm guessing this stuff is a permanent addition. @_@



LOL! Channels keep crashing and every time I relog, I get rolled back into Ludibrium before I accepted the quests. It looks like Nexon Japan needs to patch this up quick!

Medal ranks! You can upgrade your medals by accumulating a certain amount of coins, which you can get via quests and killing area bosses. Certain items require certain medals to be equipped.

Yes. The scrolls in that shop are for upgrading your pendants, rings and I guess the shoulder pad as well. I didn't exactly read them, though, and accepting the quests rolls back your character when you relog. XD
