That's really awesome and would have been cool 4 months ago but Nexon already deleted all of our fucking Monster Books. I don't want this because 1. Nexon America doesn't fucking know how to handle the monster book properly. Between it fucking up every patch and just not ever updating it... no thanks and 2. Those of us who've already paid our dues by constantly collecting monster cards shouldn't have to work as hard as joe schlub who just wants a stat increase and since they already deleted our cards, that's exactly what we'd have to do. Again.

(Ideally,) they probably didn't delete the database holding all of that information. All the Monster Book UI is still in the WZs, they just need to update it to the new UI (or do something else entirely with it).

Sort of. If everyone's cards were saved I would have less objections because then it would be starting off fair, however I still don't have any faith that Nexon could implement or maintain this properly. As every other action regarding Monster Book in the past has proven, they're inept.

Also they never fixed the shuffle but I don't know if that matters because I think ShiKage said it's only one card per monster instead of 5 now?

What makes you so sure our card collections aren't just hidden from view instead of being deleted entirely? You can't be a pessimist in a situation like this, Sarah! You gotta believe! ;-;

Considering some of these rewards give stuff like 15% Armor ignore, think they'd do something like Decent HB/SE/Haste/Mystic Door?

How tough and such are these new mini-bosses? Is there any real storyline?

Also... while the bosses look awesome and all, I now also REALLY would like to see Monster Book come back. ^_^ I had a decent collection too D: This new system is really neat though, if only Monster Book was like this from the beginning.

All the area boss system was changed in this patch. ALL area bosses have an instanced map. You can't re-enter the same channel for 60 minutes.
The new area boss system requires you to talk to an NPC in a specific map to enter the instanced map. The new mini bosses are those:

Master Moryon:


Master Harp: (Which uses a feather shower attack that is so much buttpineappleing awesome.)

There's also a quest for you to kill every single area boss to get coins to get a good monster book medal.
Also, you only need to collect 1 card of each monster to see all his info.

The worst part of this is that foreign versions get really anal about eliminating all foreign content. JMS has done a variety of things to improve what KMS has made for us.. all very awesome in design and gameplay, but nope. Can't let you do that starfox.
