First one has specialized WASD keys that are "seperate" from the rest of the keyboard so that you don't get that "holding-down-more-than-2-keys" issue. Most useful with shooters.

The other is designed to have interchangable keysets for different games, like WoW.

Is it sad I know about these? xd

@Nalek : My dad uses that at his work. O_o

These aren't out of the ordinary, but I like Asian keyboards. I still haven't memorized how to type in Japanese like this :

Functional is the greatest sign of geekery.

It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I use Dvorak, but I don't understand the point of the one-handed layouts.

One hand to type, one hand to 10-key.

Before I learned Dvorak, I typed at about 100 wpm in QWERTY, so I'm a pretty decent typist. When I decided to switch, I started one afternoon by rearranging all the letters on my keyboard to the Dvorak layout, and doing some basic online typing exercises. It only took a couple of hours to learn where all the keys were and start touch typing, although that's far from "getting used" to it. I was pulling 20-25 wpm for the first couple of days. I was still doing most of my work in QWERTY because I didn't have the time to type that slowly, but I would type instant messages using Dvorak and I'd do speed typing exercises in Dvorak when I needed a break from working. It took about 2 weeks before I got up to a reasonable speed of 70ish wpm. I stopped keeping track after that, but now I am up to about 100 wpm in both layouts.

IIRC, ALL of the keys are programmable. They basically have lil screens on them.
