It's a multiplier on base avoid, but looking at your level you probably already know that. Is it not applying the multiplier anymore?

It's not like Shadow shifter. It just makes you miss a little more than normal; nothing breath taking. It really is a lame skill now that i think about it AND doesn't really cover the whole: archers have the least of everything fact (except accuracy, but who needs that nowadays?).

Base avoid + 20% = Avoid rate. Cap at 85% (?). Or something like that. Edit: Looking at it now, it does seem like a lame and useless skill.

What about the OP Wild Hunter hackers that won't pineapple off, and just walk in to your map and set up their packet editor...

It's just that I've never seen "Dodge" over my head. I have 2390 W avoid 517 M avoid. +156 from gear/blessing +8% from potential.
Source Physical Avoid = DEX + (LUK * 2) Avoid = 1854 + (101 * 2) = 2056 (2056 + 156) * 1.08 = 2388.96 2388.96 close enough to 2390 to say that dodge not affecting my avoid directly.

It's not supposed to show a "dodge", it shows a "miss" as if nothing's changed.
While the extra avoid is nice, the strength of this skill is that after every miss your next attack will be 100% criticals. For marksmen this is a big boost. For bm it's nice but not as important (they only get 1 arrow at 100% crit, while we receive 6 crits.)

I was about to post this.. thanks~ It's not really fair how this effect works better with Strafe than it does with Hurricane.. they should fix this.. Like "1 Second of 100% Critical" or something? Ya know?

I figured that with TT and NLs' similar skill (activates about as often) the damage boost to TT from getting 100% crits is hardly anything. Since Hurricane only gets 1 arrow instead of 6 stars it'll be that much less.

Since Hurricane only gets 1 arrow instead of 6 stars it'll be that much less. 100% critical is a 1.13x increase in damage from average critical. Final Attack is 1.3x increase in damage for Hurricane. Final Attack is a 1.05x increase in damage for Ultimate Strafe. Evasion Boost is pomegranate tier either way. Let's say the highest physically possible number of hits you could get in a minute is no more than 60. Of those, a high level Archer with 999 avoid will miss at most 31%*1.2 of them. Therefore, 22 attacks in a minute will have 100% critical. Assuming none of those lands on a Final Attack, which is very possible, a Marksman will do (1.325 * 1260 * 62 + (1.5 * 1200 + 1.325 * 60) * 22 ) / 60 = 2414.3%/s Without considering Evasion Boost, a Marksman does 2318.75%/s A Bow Master does (478 * 1.325 * 260 + (1.5 * 200 + 60 * 1.325) * 22) / 60 = 2883.7%/s with Evasion Boost and 2870.8%/s without. Marksmen are clearly overpowered because of this. |
