Oh, I actually ate the snails. It's pretty similar to mussels if you ever ate one.
Anyway, I came here to france and I'm even learning to cook! It's so nice to go to the supermarket by myself and choose what I'm eating for the next days =D

Good job man, about the one thing in that post that piqued my interest. whats some stuff you're learning to make? As it is I've never tried mussels and don't have any intention on trying them.

Yesterday I made beef with shiitake mushrooms cooked with shoyo, rice as a side.
But it's mostly basic cooking... making rice, pasta, etc along with sauces or some meat to accompany.

+1 for shiitake mushrooms.
Try oyster mushrooms, they taste like scallops when you cook them right.
