Can someone explain how "Don't get your hopes up" and "Abandon all hope ye who enter here" became synonymous? I'm not seeing "NEVER AGAIN!" anywhere in this thread, just a warning not to expect it every month because you'll just end up getting let down every month when there's no reason to go through that. Last patch, it's a little understandable because all we had seen of the new content was an image from an unknown area. But, now we know it's not Masteria-related at all, and the very first post in this thread implicitly says that there's nothing Masteria-related coming down the pipe (depending on how lenient you are with your definition of related I suppose, would you really count things like the Android gear quests as Masteria expansion?) then it's pretty foolhardy to insist that "You'll see next month! Krakia and Old Sappe in the past and the Watchtower and temple of elementals all at once! We'll see who's laughing when i'm standing in vineland!" Sounds to me like Loose and Polka are saying the same thing: Don't hold your breath, but if it comes we'll welcome it with open arms and if not, at least you're not pining away for something that never came. Pretty weird to me to call one "words of wisdom" and the other "an ass".
By the way, we apparently need a grammar lesson in here, because if i see "your" misused one more time I don't think I should be held responsible for what happens.

Tone and diction play a very important role in the English language.
Edit: Any language.
PS: If someone could tell me how to do the strikeout effect, I'd be grateful.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/you%27re I didn't one say "It's coming next patch"If I did then I didn't mean it that way. I expect it later than sooner but I'm not saying it's over, nor will I sit here and say "NU ITZ NOT OVUH!D;"when at one point if we see NOTHING from this day, then yes I will even make a thread saying "Masteria is dead".

It is [.strike][./strike] without the periods in it.

It's always been somewhat sad to me that some people strongly want new Masteria content so badly that they just can't let it go, or even at least get some space from it. Sure, the maps are great training, but honestly what's great about the story? It -does- have the best story of -any- Maple content, yes, -but- even that's not enough in my opinion since the entire Masteria storyline is full of sudden brick walls.
Unless these walls are knocked down the story is amateur and not worth my time, but of course this is just how I personally look at it. We don't even know whether the CWKPQ was pulled together with the same team as the rest of Masteria's creators. For all we know it was made until a certain point, then the rest was put together by different people later on and it was implemented. For all we know that's the end of Masteria unless something changes in the future.
I know that there -could- be new content for Masteria, but I -highly- doubt we're going to see anything this year, but for good reason. Big Bang is going to take up a lot of time, and even now the Invasion event is a filler to help buy a couple months of time for work in my opinion.

I'm saying NEVER AGAIN, because Nexon has not, to this day, replaced any of the staff that departed. They haven't gone to any agencies for hiring for programmers for a while now. They can't demand the rest of the dev team to do what the others did, as that would be disastrous. The current events looks like a dev job done with literally half a team. That is why the content is recycled.
When Nexon replaces the staff that took off, then you'd expect the possibility of planning to begin for new Masteria content.
Until then, Masteria is dead.

![[Image: reality.gif]](http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy160/cobaltboatfan/reality.gif) We don't know how many people are working at the NEXON office. How do you know that the team wasn't already replaced?

I knew you would say something like that. Incredibly predictable. Nexon goes through a certain agency in the hiring of GMs and programmers. Said agency has not gone through any job companies posting new positions to fill in those of the staff that left. Same agency hooks up other publishers with talent. If you don't see this agency list something for Nexon, you can easily and safely bet they haven't hired new people in the programming dept. It's the norm in this industry, if you follow it. Which I do.
I'm glad you didn't say "well maybe nexon hired people without going through an agency", because that would make you the laughing stock of this thread.

I don't know much of the business world so I'll take your word for it, I'll just leave on this note so people don't frame me as the "Masteria Freak". If it comes it comes, but I will also give up and say it's not coming at one point. Fair enough?

I see. So, umm.. I guess my predictions were right. I knew there must've been something wrong, seeing how the latest quests have had an horrible storyline and how they've been often using recycled stuff in their "exclusive content" (for example, the maps where you have to go to complete stage 1, like the map with recycled kerning subway objects, the mine, and.. *sigh* Episode 1).
Since the mobs of the Visitors event are listed after the Thai exclusive ones, the strings are in the "thai" folder, and the maps are under Continent 5, which is the continent of Thai exclusive stuff, I will also assume that Nexon America teamed up with the ThaiMS development stuff to make this (especially for things like new maps without re-used objects, etc.).
In a few words: the Visitors event doesn't mean anything, and they probably even had to team up with another company to make all that new stuff, because they didn't have the right people in their staff to do it themselves.
Rayhovite sounds like he has experience with this stuff, and he just proves many people's doubts right. Well, that's if you want to believe him on his word, which I guess I'll do.

Tis a sad day=\Even if they do bring it back with a crappy storyline I think at that point we can still sort of consider it dead. As long as ray is right then at this point we can expect nothing, or a crappy storyline.

It worked with Tespia. Making long-ass threads in their forums about it seemed to work. So, I thought, why not doing the same about Masteria?
This time, the thread was about the speculations of many people about the stop / slowing down of the Masteria development.
Apparently, it worked, and I somehow was able to get an official answer from -Hime-. Not a direct one, sadly, but still an answer.
From what she said, it seems like they're.. lacking of ideas? "That does not mean other ideas won't come up in the future" makes me think that.
Either way, from what she said, I can guess that the development has NOT totally stopped, but, instead, will probably take more time. We finally can stop the assumptions about NxProse and NxJoeW being directly related to the development, even if she said that they've had a hand in proposing ideas for the content (I knew they must've had somehow a role in the development of Masteria content).
She still didn't say if the problem is a lack of a storyline writer, for example, or a designer for the content. But I guess that's not information they can give out.
So yeah. I guess we'll have to wait more than usual, but something WILL come, sooner or later. I just hope that the quality of the content (and, especially, the quests) will be the same as the rest of the Masteria areas released until now.

Remember Hime's just a liaison. But her statement kind of irks me.
"We've heard you guys loud and clear about Masteria, and it takes a bit more to make it all happen."
I know the majority of you players don't come into hackers or are affected by them personally. But I would like to see those things get fixed first. Seems like that's the stance Nexon America holds now. "We've heard you loud and clear, but it'll take more whining and bickering to make it happen, if possible in the least chance." If they were even close to wanting to expand on Masteria, they can easily hire fan faction writers or host player events to submit the best storyline for maple point prize. I doubt they are even trying.

I feel as if even if we got Masteria, you guys would find more pomegranate to bicker and complain about, and it won't fulfill all your high hopes, as most things usually don't.
