Nexon America's answer about Masteria

I believe you are referring to NxJoeW or NxProse. They were not part of the content development team though they may have had a hand in proposing ideas for the content. That does not mean other ideas won't come up in the future.

Development and implementation of content isn't a quick and easy process. It all takes time and needs to be scheduled in. We've heard you guys loud and clear about Masteria, and it takes a bit more to make it all happen.

It worked with Tespia. Making long-ass threads in their forums about it seemed to work. So, I thought, why not doing the same about Masteria?

This time, the thread was about the speculations of many people about the stop / slowing down of the Masteria development.

Apparently, it worked, and I somehow was able to get an official answer from -Hime-. Not a direct one, sadly, but still an answer.

From what she said, it seems like they're.. lacking of ideas? "That does not mean other ideas won't come up in the future" makes me think that.

Either way, from what she said, I can guess that the development has NOT totally stopped, but, instead, will probably take more time. We finally can stop the assumptions about NxProse and NxJoeW being directly related to the development, even if she said that they've had a hand in proposing ideas for the content (I knew they must've had somehow a role in the development of Masteria content).

She still didn't say if the problem is a lack of a storyline writer, for example, or a designer for the content. But I guess that's not information they can give out.

So yeah. I guess we'll have to wait more than usual, but something WILL come, sooner or later. I just hope that the quality of the content (and, especially, the quests) will be the same as the rest of the Masteria areas released until now.

- You were referring to other developers.
- Other ideas may come up.
- Basically stating that the general population has no clue how much time it takes to make custom content.

To me, it sounds like there's nothing in the pipeline at the moment.

Yeah, that's why I've said that I haven't gotten a direct answer. But yeah, from her answer it really sounds like they don't even have ideas for new content right now.

I call BS on hime's end, what happened to all the lore and urban legends info they were supposed to be using? I'm sure there is much more than bigfoot legends for an idea, there's also mothman, chupacabra, loc ness, jack the ripper and countless urban legends from around different areas of the world.

- even what she did say is unreliable, since she's shown before that she hasn't much of a clue, or influence, about what is or isn't being done, or planned.

Only thing I don't get is why Haunted House 2 and Episode 1 both came out fragmented and made little sense story wise. Surely if the same guys that worked the whole Masteria storyline were around, those two wouldn't of shown up with badly written stories.

Well, they promised such expansions since Masteria has shown up, one area per year is just too slow, as they said, it takes a lot of time, but not that much. I really doubt they'll make a good work like NxJoew / Nxprose has done.The proof is Haunted House 2.
