The tree ate Kirby. You understood it the other way around. : P

Then shouldn't have it been, Se lo comio Kirby? He ate the Kirby? The way you have it, he ate the logical tree.

Se lo comio el Arbol Logico. = The Logical Tree ate him.
Se comio al Arbol Logico. = He ate the Logical Tree.

Se lo comio Kirby. = Kirby ate it.
Se comio a Kirby. = It ate Kirby.

Doesn't the subject come before the verb? I think that is what is throwing me off here. I don't know what is eating what.

Trust us, we have that language as our first. And yes, Loose is right. The keyword is "lo".

Not necessarily. Sometimes it gets switched around but it's the pronouns that determine what the sentence actually means.

Se lo comio el Arbol Logico. <=> El Arbol Logico se lo comio (in the order that we're used to) <=> El Arbol Logico se comio a Kirby.

That's how I think about it. (I must sound like an idiot to native speakers. lol.)

He's using a kinda special form of speech. ''Se lo comio el Arbol Logico'' would make sense if you thought it this way: It was eaten by the Logical Tree.
