Best potential stats.

So I was wondering what the best possible stats are for items. Generally its going to be +9% of your main stat right? Can anyone just give a quick break down for each item. Thanks.

Hats- % stat/all stat, Mystic Door
Tops/Bottoms/Overalls-% stat/all stat, Hyper Body
Shoes- % stat/all stat, Haste
Gloves- % stat/all stat, Sharp Eyes
Cape- % stat/all stat
Earrings- % stat/all stat
Weapons- % total damage, % bossing damage

Haste might not be necessary on the shoes for some classes. Mystic Door..eh, depends.

% weapon attack for weapons would be good on anyone who didn't rely on stars/bullets for some of their damage.

EDIT: @DeeD, do you mean for a specific class or just in general?

% weapon attack really isn't that good, though, since it's calculating based on your total weapon attack, not some factor of your range and other multipliers like % total damage. % weapon attack is just like Echo of Hero, so if you think about it, having, say, 150 weapon attack with +4% weapon attack from gear (same amount gained from Echo) is only a 6 WATK boost. Looking at the forumla post Big Bang, that's a multiplier increase from 1.5 to 1.56.

As opposed to an additional multiplier like 1.09x. I guess it could be better, but that's post-Big Bang, and it's just easier to boost damage by throwing in an additional multiplier than boosting WATK since the multplier doesn't change if you lose WATK.

EDIT: Plus, of course, % weapon attack from potential scrolling does NOT stack with ATK pots like Echo does, meaning % total damage is essentially always better.

Ah, I thought it stacked with ATT pots. Okay, % weapon attack isn't really that good, then. A static attack boost would be much better, like +15 or whatnot. How high does it even go?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how does it NOT stack? % w.atk is only from weapons IIRC, so it's built-in when potential'd. I'm not sure if it would stack with Echo, since it's a 4% atk/m.atk buff. Regardless.. it should stack with atk pots, should it not? o_o

Btw, I mean it like if you have 150 total w.atk, with 3% w.atk from your potential weapon, that would make you have 154 total atk. Add in a Cider or Apple and now you have 174 total w.atk or 254 total w.atk.

For higher atk classes, when not using apples or mages %watt or %magic are pretty good. +9% atk is better than +10 atk if you have more than 111 atk.

It's (atk*atk% + Potion atk) not (atk + potion atk)*atk%

It's (atk*atk% + Potion atk) not (atk + potion atk)*atk%

I know, that's the way I meant it, -see my previous edited post- xD

Is there an item level minimum to gain the beginner skills (hb, se, haste, door)? Or can any item of any level gain the skill?

I think it must be 70+, and at least Epic.

Can +1/2 to all skills raise skill levels above 30 yet?

The way you meant it is correct, following Shidoshi's equations.

Also, Echo stacks with everything. Period. xD.

Does anyone know the formula to calculate total damage?

Thanks guys. Yeah this would be for either bullet/star using or not. I wasn't sure if %wattk or %total attk is better. Looks like %attk wins overall.

I personally think that some things like +2 seconds of invincibility would be better for a lot of classes especially classes like corsairs or +critical rate for critical-based classes.

I thought the +critical rate didn't stack with critical based classes? I had 4% crit on my xbow and I didn't notice any increased in critical.
