potential scroll system
#1
Hi all,

I have questions regarding the potential scroll system.

If normal item use potential scroll then have the potential. Then buy the magnifying glass to identify the potential. Am I right?

If rare/epic.unique item, then I do not need to use potential scroll because the potential is already inside. Am I right?

thanks

Once you use the magnifying glass, then it reveals the potential attributes. Therefore, you need to do nothing else.

That thread is useless now.

And I'm confused too. I bought one of each Magnified Glass and I couldn't use any of them on any of my scrolled items or clean items...What am I missing?

Potential scrolls. It has to be unidentified status before you can identify it.

You have to use potential scrolls on items that aren't unidentified before you can use the magnifying glass on them. After potential-ing them, then you can use the glasses to get your stat boosts.

Edit: Ninja'd.

so rare/epic/unique item do not to use potential?

do all rare/epic/unique item automatically have potential inside?

Do monster do rare/epic/unique item anyway?

only normal item then need to use the potential scroll?

I dont't think you're getting it.

the rare/epic/unique stuff isn't pre-defined on the item. What happens is, when you have a clean equip it is labled as unidentified or normal. The normal ones REQUIRE YOU TO SCROLL IT WITH THE POTENTIAL SCROLL.

the potential scroll will then GIVE THE ITEM THE RANKING of rare/epic/unique.

1) item drops with "Hidden Potential"
2) use Magnifying Glass on it
3) item becomes Rare/Epic/Unique
 Spoiler

If your item does not have "Hidden Potential" (red outline), you can't use the magnifying glass.
If your item is Rare/Epic/Unique, you can't use the magnifying glass.

Oh, so if the item dropped from a monster you can use the Mag. Glass first? But if say you bought it from a NPC, Gacha or maker skill you have to use a Potential scroll before you can use the Mag. Glass? Correct anything I may be wrong on please. =)

If the item drops from a monster.. it MIGHT come unidentified (Red border)

If it has no red border you have to use a potential scroll to GIVE it a red border.

After it has a red border, use a magnifying glass to get boosts.... that simple.

I just wanted to mention that if you do find a hidden potential item, it does appear in your chat log.
