Item Rating(potential) and Enhancement(star) System
It's permanent in KMS isn't it?

Until Nexon finds another reason to buff the droprate.

So uhh... where'd the guide go?

Where indeed... o_o

Took it down because everyone keeps leeching it? Confused

The moment you write a guide, you should have already known this would happen. Some things I wrote which were far from being guides were leeched to various places as well. Still, hope it comes back so that I can save a lot of time explaining this again and again to people in confusion.

Stereo Wrote:The color borders relate 100% to whether the item is Rare, Epic, or Unique. This is determined before the bonuses.

Ie.
Unidentified item
use a Magnifying Glass
1) Rare/Epic/Unique (blue/purple/yellow)
2) 2 or 3 bonuses randomly (or maybe 1-3)
3) randomly select those bonuses from what's available to that item rating, based on the level of the item

Rare items only have level 0 or 1 bonuses (3%), Epic can have level 2 bonuses (6%), and Unique can have level 3 bonuses (the 9% for 71-120 equips)

Mk that helps a bit more. But really the blue/purple/yellow border goes hand-in-hand with the stats itself, exactly like how a 40+ above item is yellow, below average is gray, etc?

If that's true, then I completely get it now.

@takebacker: Someone pointed out if you have 2 bonuses, you could MC it to get 3 bonuses. Can the # of bonuses ever drop after a certain point?

i.e. 1-->1-->1-->2-->2-->3-->3-->3

Where the suceeding # of bonuses is greater or equal to the previous.

Let's say if you see +12%stat, that item is sure to have yellow border (because only Unique bonuses can reach that).
However, a 3% bonus doesn't mean it has to be any particular color, since lvl 71+ items can have 3% with Rare (Blue border) while a Yellow border (Unique) can also have +3% but that's for items below lvl 30.

The border color denotes the item's quality: Rare/Epic/Unique, nothing more.

My question was not answered thus Im reposting it, probably it wasnt seen Smile

I recall seeing equips that added % of your hp, is my mind messing with me? According to the guide the hp bonuses are never % based. Thanks.

Yea k, so it's basically the scrolling color system currently used except this is the color system for potentials. Basically it doesn't really mean anything other than to define something and to make it more confusing.

i.e. If you see a gold border "the potential is better than something than with a blue border". But if we see 9s and stuff, then that's kinda obvious already (I get your example with the overlap though)

Or perhaps the border is determined after the stats have been chosen. It could be possible that 1-3 stat bonuses are chosen randomly from the subset of bonuses where each bonus meets the item type and level requirement. And afterwards, the rank (colored border) of the item is determined based on the highest rank of the selected bonuses.

Another possibility is that the rank is first selected, and only bonuses up to the selected rank can be picked from. And afterwards if the highest ranked bonus is has a lower rank than the originally selected rank, the item is de-ranked.

The items get a subtitle under the name, Rare/Epic/Unique. This matches the border colour 1:1. It doesn't matter what the bonuses do, the rank of the item determines its outline.

Need to look at a larger range of identified items, to determine
- if a Unique item can have zero Unique quality bonuses
- if an item can have Rare and Unique bonuses
Since a lot of it is just from what we've seen of KMS, and that's generally the godliest items.

So you can get more then identification? Like keep using the magnifying glass so the item can be both rare, unique or become unique after you keep using miracle cubes?

What? It's either Unidentified, Rare, Epic, or Unique.

You can only use the Magnifying Glass on Unidentified items, and it randomly makes them Rare, Epic, or Unique.

You can only use Miracle Cubes on Rare, Epic, or Unique items, and it makes them Unidentified and they lose all the bonuses they had.

So basically if you identify a item using magnifying glass and it becomes "rare" you can then use miracle cubes and remake it an it might turn out to be unique with like a mini skill? So basically you gotta have fairly good luck to land unique and a skill and % at once O_o

Also, how long would this 10x droprate last?

If it really comes this patch, it lasts forever. It's a permanent addition.

I don't think bosses had their rates upped, just normal monsters.

i would be happy with all the skills since that leaves 16 or 17 other equips that i can get % bonuses from
