This was actually the very first time I've ever gotten that message on Southperry. Usually, I just get posts that aren't bolded when I hit "New Posts."

Why are these images being resized. . . . :|

I get this every now and then, although I usually hit "Mark Forums Read" after no one post in a while. I don't like dead weight in my New Post Results Page.

Hanabira's image is really wide, but the others aren't. I could fit two, side by side, in my window and still have room for more in my post. I don't have that high of a resolution, or even wide screen, either.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the threshold for width is 600 pixels.
