Unable to drop, trade, set up a shop, or duey

So basically, this is what off-ranked accounts can and can't do:

Can't: Drop, trade, set up a shop, buy things from other shops, use duey at all
Can: Loot others' drops, MTS, edit an existing shop (only a few more hours to possibly do this), use storage, buy and sell from NPCs

Dunno if wedding gifts work, although that would be seriously desperate. Is there any other possible way to trade items between characters?

I don't think you can trade items. Nexon locked down on what you cant do pretty solid. Cant think of no loopholes.

When you mean mts you can post listing? Have you tried doing the wanted mts listing?

You can use MTS by buying and trading.

Well, the two loopholes are that MTS is fully functional, and we can loot items dropped by others O_o

duper may sell items dirt cheap on MTS then, maybe?

Recently, we were alerted to a rise in mesos being introduced into MapleStory through an exploit. We have fixed this exploit and are actively working on stopping the spread of these mesos by investigating those who were involved. Players who used the exploit and those who are directly associated with it have been banned. We understand some players may not be directly associated but may have potentially obtained some mesos or have had their items bought with illegitimate mesos in the Free Market. These players have been trade blocked to prevent the spread of the exploited mesos. We assure you the trade block is temporary and will only remain in effect as we investigate. It is not permanent. Current players that are not trade blocked will not be subjected to the investigation or further action. You are safe to sell and buy from the Free Market without the repercussions of this exploit. We will reach a resolution shortly. If you feel you have been mistakenly blocked, please send us a ticket through our support system immediately.



Also, as a safety precaution to the exploit please keep these tips in mind.

- Do not take large sums of mesos from strangers.

- If a player offers you something that sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

- Avoid suspicious players and offers. Suspicious players try to off load non-legitly obtained items to avoid getting caught.

Hahaha, oh wow. The looting other peoples items loophole could make for some awesome shenanigans.

Also, it sort of keeps the item safe until they get it all fixed :o

Not being able to drop your own items is incredibly inconvenient though. You never really notice how much being able to drop items helps until you can't. I can't get rid of random space-consuming stuff easily, do the rescue snipe jump quest (can't drop the snipe), summon zakum, or help out at pqs at all really (can't drop/trade passes, can't drop things to activate stuff in gpq, etc.).

those people involved in the meso exploit should be perm banned just like how people involved in chaos scroll exploit was perm banned.

Except you don't know who will walk to your store and buy your Maple Warrior skillbooks with their god-knows-where supplies of mesos.

I know, I'm not even going to bother with you, just sayin'.

Read again the ticket up there. It says, "If a player offers you something that sounds too good to be true, it probably is". During the Chaos scroll exploit, many people got banned because they all ran out to buy the cheap-like-hell scrolls. While here, for most of the affected people, all they did was set up a store in FM.

Not justifying the permanent ban for the first case, but saying we all deserve to be perma banned for opening a store is just crazy. could it be you're just mad ecause they banned you?

under ban section, i don't think it's going to get fixed with patch. nexon fail at finding "resolution", they can't even post about hellban in main site. not everyone look forums often.

Dear Maplers,



As part of the resolution of the meso exploit, we will be removing all exploited mesos from the Maple economy. This also includes the removal of mesos from trade blocked players who may have innocently come across the exploited mesos. We greatly apologize for this but we must remove the exploited mesos to minimize its impact on the current and future state of the Maple economy. Legitimately earned mesos will not be affected as we have a clear indication of which mesos were exploited. Trade blocked players will be released upon this week’s update. Due to the inconveniences that have been caused, players who are released from the trade block will be compensated.



Non-trade blocked players were not subjected to the investigation and will not be affected by this resolution.

I'm kind of happy, it could have been much worse. I'll be losing up to 1.5bil due to this though D:

Looks like Nexon needs to flood the economy with more meso bags to compensate for the loss! We can't have deflation!

Can't say I'm pleased, but this is better than the best that the Nexon I know can do. Surprised chinchilla is surprised.

Apparently, there's a new meso exploit out. According to a friend, the old one worked by hacking the donation boxes to think that you were giving them -2.1bil mesos, and then you'd end up with 2.1bil mesos in your inventory. The new one supposedly works by tricking tatamo into thinking you're giving him -2.8k manon tails then receiving the manon tails and NPCing them. Try not to sell highly-priced items in the FM until this is fixed ><

I hope that by compensation they are refering to giving back what was lost, or at least, a equivalent quantity of maple points to what was lost, not just 10k maple points and a "Thanks for your patience and sorry for the inconvenients"

I'm gonna be so mad if it's the later...

Oh wow, really. Let's see how quickly Nexon catches up to this.
