I haven't seen the video yet, but the thread title reminds me of my childhood. My father would tell me how to PROPERLY eat meat that's on bones. He would tell me that if there's even a slight bit of meat left on the bone, you're not eating it right. He told me that the little "retarded piece" of the wing (the pointy end) was the best part, and it is. Bite and nibble on the edges, bite off the tip then snap the piece open for some stray pieces meat that people often ignore.

Also, ribs. You have to suck the bone to get the full flavor out of those, since the bones taste pretty good.

Funny thing is, my little brother never got these lessons from my father. He won't use his hands to eat anything that isn't pizza or a sandwich. I still don't understand how the hell he eats chicken wings and ribs with a fork. There's so much food left over when he's "done."

Ugh! Thanks for making me OCD about leaving meat on the bone, dad.

Edit - Saw the video. My father never taught me to eat flats that way, but we don't nibble around the chicken. We just pull apart the bones and eat them as if they were two separate pieces. I like actually scraping my teeth against bones (I like chewing in general, I always have a straw in my mouth or something. Gum is too soft), so I won't be trying this. But this way does seem like it may be nice for my mother to try out, because she hates bones. Damn, I want some chicken now...
