Why does everyone hate Naruto?

Takebacker Wrote:Western fanbase for anything is horrible. Doesn't really affect the quality of the series, whatever quality that may be.

I dunno. The western One Piece community is a pretty cool fan base. But on the other hand it's really hard to find something to hate in a manga as epic as it is. The Naruto fanbase made me cry when one guy made this super elaborate post on why Kishi is a genius in purposely making us hate the progression in the series, saying how genius the Pein arc "twist" was. That's how bad it got.

Can't add a lot to other people said. Bad fans, bad plot sometimes, lots and lots of fillers, all things that One Piece (my fav show ever) don't have. But then again you can like anything you want, no one here will judge you nor give a f'uck.

I think a fanbase tends to gets worse as it increases in size and the age spread increases. Be that because you get older or people substantially older or younger than you join the fanbase. See Maple, Naruto, Facebook, etc.

I'll give you my absolutely honest opinion on Naruto as someone still following the manga to this day:

naruto is not just a cartoon i think that the show does a good job in exemplifying humanity. i know there are fillers but the story comes very close to the manga and i think that is very good. naruto is not just a show for kids but even for young adults from old to young. going back to what i said about humanity it is probably the best show in showing how society really is. my favorite quote from the show is "peace can only be achieve through pain" how do we accept people change for the better or for the worse when we love them? i hope i made my case in naruto being the best anime and if you do not think he will like it then perhaps you could make him watch code geass is has a lot of suspense and action and the plot is very good

 Real Thoughts: On the Manga

Oh: and the point about the fanbase. Urgh. Too lazy to list the issues that the anime has either.

Is it that SUPAH KAWAII thing I've heard about? That's what Narutos is about right?

The DBZ manga would like to have a word with you, and Drago Ball Kai. Power up scenes in the manga are drastically shorter. Heck, the Buu saga, which spanned around 100 episodes, ot 1/3 of the whole anime series, took only 3/16 or less than 20% of the total number of volumes in the manga series. It was because Toriyama needed more time to write/draw more chapters.

Hell, Shikage can attest to this. What should have been episode 140 in the original fillerered-up DBZ series, is currently only episode 55 in the filler-less Dragon Ball Kai series. Says a lot about how much filler there was that had to be made.

Uhh right! Those chapters when they took like 5-30minutes showing Goku and his enemy screaming and going against each othe and then the chapter ends. Next chapter is about the same thing until finally Goku does something and his enemy is dead.
Loved DBZ when I was a young kid but last time I tried to watch (2-3years ago) it just pissed me off.

I meant the analogy to apply mostly to the original DBZ anime, what- with "ARE THEY STILL ON NAMEK?!" and during the fight with Frieza, the fact that entire episodes encompassed a five-minute time frame where Frieza was going to blow up Namek.

Yes, I've noticed that; though.

People generally dislike Nartuo because of its terrible fanbase. I dislike it because it's just a terrible show. To me, it set the standards for what generic is in an anime. The bland and boring plot combined with the annoying cast of characters ("BELIEVE IT!!!!!") help set the stage. I've watched maybe a total of six or seven episodes and feel that's more than enough to form an opinion on the anime overall.

This. The only reason why i still read it, its coz of some theory about some japanese god that was pretty interesting and might related to the manga. Anime.. having fillers sucks.

Manga is better because you can imagine how the voices would be based on your own imagination, and nothing else. I watch the anime if I'm bored. That's it.

As for One Piece, it's not that bad but I don't consider it a great series. Then again, I'm more into shoujo than shonen.

Doesn't that mean you're into girl's mangas? Is that like being into Barbies? Or am I interpreting this wrong.

I guess so. One of my favorite Shoujo would be Watashi ni XX Shinasai!, but I think I mentioned that like over 1000 times. I have no problems with liking Shoujos. I like what I like. lolinternet.

Shoujo is just normally more romance filled than shonen.

To be further accurate, it's geared towards a female audience. Where as Shonen are for males. Not to say that the opposite gender cannot like the other. Females can like One Piece, and males can like Vampire Knight (lolWhoAmIKidding..) Koko Ni Iru Yo!. The reason I'm more interested in Shoujo is because I enjoy watching things about romance or cute animated females, but that's just me.

main stream things always get a lot of hate.

I can't stand the DUBs (just like everyone else). The anime isn't so bad, but I hate the fillers. The manga is pretty good.

I don't normally pay attention to the demographic a series is aimed to, that's not important to me at all.
