Gen 5 rumor mill thread

Would it be wrong to think that the first 2 versions will be on the DS and the 3rd one in the 3DS?

Got about..3 more for Kanto, about 15 for Johto.
Hoenn and Sinnoh aren't close since I have to trade them over. ;__;

Argh, more pokemon means it'll be harder to complete the Pokedex I feel like the only person that still tries anymore.

Except the 3DS WASN'T an April Fool's joke.

I don't think Eevee will get an evolution this time around, sadly. I think it'll be like the 3rd Gen, no new evolutions.

Anyone want to speculate on Starter types?

Grass/Ghost
Water/Dark
Fire/Fight

Has my bet. Or any combination of those 2ndary types.

If the secondary types are for even more weakness type thing, you'd want psychic and not ghost.

Somehow, I think being immune to fight type moves is enough. Besides at least this way they have 2ndary type STAB move that can actually make contact with Dark pokemon. Also, we could all use more ghost love.

Starter Hybrid types:

Id love to see a fire-dragon starter. WOW SURE ITS PSEUDO-CHARMANDER IN HERE.

Fire/Dragon; Fire/Electric; Fire/Rock; Water/Ice; Water/Bug; Water/Psychic; Grass/Rock; Grass/Dark; Grass/Ghost; Grass/Steel; and Grass/Flying would be what id like to see, though, make it so that those hybrids dont appear until 2nd or 3rd evolution.

Fire/Grass would be an interesting type combination to see. It actually has decent offensive/defensive coverage, despite being made up of two individually subpar types.

what would that be weak to though, flying and ground comes to mind first and foremost. theres earthquake, aerial ace, those two moves could spell its downfall. poison would also work well against it due to grass' weakness to poison. bug/water/ice weaknesses are halved due to its dual typing. any others im missing?

Grass is resistant to Ground.
It would be weak against Flying, Poison and Rock.
