Gen 5 rumor mill thread

Well guys, gen 5's games are now named, Pokemon Black and White versions specifically.

this thread serves one purpose and one purpose alone: Lets start guessing and contemplating what exactly could be in the new release, and/or what we'd like to see in it.

personally, id like contests back, but maybe combine in the contests with the pokeathlon. keep the "have your pokemon follow you" from HG/SS would be nice too, but realistically i dont see it happening.

Id also like less legendaries and more normal pokemon.

Gen 5 will be in the ghetto.

If this is the final Generation, they need to get all the Eevee-lutions, evolutions for all non-legendary no evolution poke. Give all 2 stage pokemons a 3rd one.
They need to make all he typing possible too
Have 200+ pokes.
Sinnoh not have alot of pokies.

I'm hoping they give us a nice bang for our buck and make the region 2-3 times larger than the previous. Perhaps add a new spin on things with the badge system and battle system. I'm expecting something really good, not just a rehash of the mechanics in a new place.

Oh, and we're getting a Pokewalker. It's so obvious. They can get away with charging an extra $5 for the game for something that probably costs less than a dollar to produce.

I'd like access to all the previous gyms eventually. Gold/Silver are the only games that let you have gym battles in more than 8 gyms.

Evolutions to Pokemon without them would be really nice (Absol, Zangoose, Seviper, etc.)

Also, Flare Blitz Flareon plz.

Remove the need for HM's. Just allow your pokes to use the moves after certain gym badges. That, and more non-lengendary pokemon.

More Eevee Evolutions please =D. Also looking for Battle Frontier in all versions plus more then 1 Region .Oh and either new types of starters or just cooler starters.

The pokemon following you around is a nice feature, the pokewalker is fun and different though I wish it could level more than once in it.. Hm A larger area, I enjoy having 16 badges in HG/SS and two different areas to explore, it'd be nice if they could add something like that.. Like the islands in Firered and whatnot, they better bring the VS seeker back Umm Contests are nice, I really enjoy the pokeathlon, its fun to be able to use the stylus to do the events..Hmm if we can make pokeblocks and things make a wifi option.. It'd be nice to be able to make poffins with someone other than myself for once xD

I don't mind HM's there a hassle yes, but they make it a bit challenging, to work around a pool of useless moves that you have to have with you. Though Strength, Waterfall and Surf are decent.. The rest suck

An evolution for Farfetch'd. Seriously, that thing is way overdue. I'm also supporting the removal for the need for HMs.

Another thing I'd like to see is a strong, challenging Elite 4; but the game also giving a lot to explore like Johto+Kanto size; and heck- maybe even connected with Hoenn. I really liked Hoenn's exotic locations- like being on top of a volcano, or going deep into the ocean; and I'd really like a lot of cool areas like that to explore in this game much like that, but if it HAS to make me go on the water a lot, please add some variation other than Tenticool, Tentacruel, Wingull, and Pelipper.

Also, where do you think in Japan this game would be based on? I think Shikoku would be cool.

I've only played 1st and 2nd Gen, so I only understand half of what's going in here.

I support HM removal.

Make an HM move possible after a badge and have them be used by Pokemon depending on their type.
- Cut: Grass, Normal, Bug, Poison, Dark
- Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Dive: Water, Dragon, Ice
- Strength, Rock Smash: Rock, Steel, Ground, Fighting
- Flash: Electric, Psychic, Fire
- Fly: Flying, Ghost

A system like that.

First of all. A Dark type Gym Leader. There hasn't been one in any Gen. Next of all, a FEMALE PROFESSOR. They did it in the anime, they could definitely do it to end the series. I think it'd be awesome that way.
