nono, you dont get it; i cant even do that. the guy never opened that up for me. I can change what areas appear, and where they are on the 2x3 grid, but thats ALL i can customize in the safari zone.

Need to be playing Hoenn sound (Wednesday) on the radio for an Absol to appear. I got one to appear after about 4 attempts in Mt. Mortar, just remember to activate the radio after every encounter. Good luck!

About the Safari Zone, I have no idea how I got it to activate. All I remember is bringing him a Sandshrew, then went out and defeated the rest of the Kanto Gym Leaders then coming back to the Safari Zone for filling my PokeDex.

well, ive already beaten all 16 gym leaders before i showed him the shrew. maybe thats what screwed me up and now i need to fight the E4 a second time to trigger this event?

Kinda off-topic, but since we're talking Safari Zone... Is there any way to catch a Houndour/Houndoom there before National Dex? If no, how do I do it after? I'm kinda a dumbass at this. Heh.
