Ive done both tests, can reorganize the areas in the safari zone, but i cannot customize them with items. its been well over 24 hours; why wont he let me play around with the item feature?

You're supposed to press A in the Safari Zone. That lets you place items.

nono, you dont get it; i cant even do that. the guy never opened that up for me. I can change what areas appear, and where they are on the 2x3 grid, but thats ALL i can customize in the safari zone.

Did you try leaving and re-entering? It didn't work for me until I left and then entered again.

where am i supposed to be clicking inside the safari zone to activate being able to activate placing items? (Read as: I cannot even access the item placement thing yet)

About the Safari Zone, I have no idea how I got it to activate. All I remember is bringing him a Sandshrew, then went out and defeated the rest of the Kanto Gym Leaders then coming back to the Safari Zone for filling my PokeDex.

About the Safari Zone, I have no idea how I got it to activate. All I remember is bringing him a Sandshrew, then went out and defeated the rest of the Kanto Gym Leaders then coming back to the Safari Zone for filling my PokeDex.
well, ive already beaten all 16 gym leaders before i showed him the shrew. maybe thats what screwed me up and now i need to fight the E4 a second time to trigger this event?

Kinda off-topic, but since we're talking Safari Zone... Is there any way to catch a Houndour/Houndoom there before National Dex? If no, how do I do it after? I'm kinda a dumbass at this. Heh.
