Are you being sarcastic? It's an old glitch that affects everyone. It usually takes multiple tries to post anything.

There are two types. Not the old BLUE ERROR, ERROR, ERROR page. This one comes as a pop-up on one account, and refuses to load any others from that IP

Well, if ya'all think about it, they WERE pretty generous with other things this patch. What's this? Free Evan set for a few days? PERMANENT Evan set in the cs?(I am aware that kms has permanent sets, but kms isn't really THAT great imo), 2xp(given) events, account transferring glasses?

Random Nexon is random. As long as magic guard doesn't glitch, I was happy to be able to try out the Evan set before I contemplate buying it. I am also happy with these cool potion shop discounting items, and exp boosting medals(WE NEED MORE OF THESE).

All in all, I'd say this is extremely borderline, but it's not THAT bad, still, to do this to one of the lowest tier classes in the game is just messed up, I can understand dual blade, since those actually ARE spoonfed overpowered chumps(I will still be in their bandwadon), but Evan? Come on now...and did it HAVE to be magic guard?

I know I said it worked after a relog, but my MG was glitched after hitting level 40. Many others who purchased MG at level 60 can't put any of the 15 SP into MG, and some are stuck at 17~18 MG. I would consider that a glitch. You are right about the exp boosting medal, but remember when cygnus came out? We had the Pendant of the Spirit and 2x. Many people might think this is great, but compared to the things they used to do or could have done, they are just taking the easy way out.

The glasses might be great since it's tradable, but I'm sure no one would have minded to pay the (possible 8~9 bucks) PSOK if the glasses were actually useful. This also brings up the fact that you can't sell the glasses, which pretty much sucks.

I completely agree with you about this being extremely borderline and it not being bad. I'm actually loving my Evan.

Coogi Wrote:Bolded Part, what gives you the right to make that decision in there game? So Nexon should only make things "easy" or "cheaper" because you and some fourm kids said so?

It doesn't work like that, it's their decision not yours, if you don't like it then quit.
Sarah Wrote:The game and all characters in the game are advertised free as to play. You cannot play with half a character. This is like giving you a house but no land to put it on. It's useless.

This.

Nexon has defined their games under a Free to Play business model. They have every right to charge whatever they want, but charging for some things is equivalent to deceiving the customer base. Attack scrolls could be removed from drop tables and repriced starting at 20k NX in the CS. You could be charged 15$ a month for the right to login. Nexon could scrap the game all together and start manufacturing mushroom-themed kitchenware.

Nexon has already admitted, though somewhat unreliably through Hime and without much of an apology, that these are a problem. I only continue to counter-post about these books because one of the several discussions that has spawned as a tangent in this thread is concerning the ethics of required Pay to Play content in a Free to Play model.

Coogi Wrote:You think the ones that can't afford the 2k NX could sit there and hunt for hours and not get KS'ed by the Merchs, pros, higher levels?

I'm sure you didn't expect them to not have it as a NX item and then it drop from a stump? This isn't a Private Server now, you should obviously expect it drop from a boss at a very low rate just like the other Books right?

Or it could drop from GPQ like several other books. Just saying...

Thieves are easily one of the cheapest jobs in the early levels.
The only class that actually really *needs* mesos is a dexless warrior. And even then that's an optional build that you don't have to follow if you don't want to.

Coogi Wrote:Check what I bolded..I'm curious...So you think the people that can't afford the 2k NX could afford to drop 80-120m for the book if it dropped from say...level 40-50 Bosses? Or maybe even higher?

No they can't, that's why before this mastery books were restricted to fourth job skills and by extension, more experienced players. Sure it's possible to scrape together enough mesos to buy the book using the MTS (unless you're in galacia), but it's also beyond the abilities of many casual and less experienced players. You can say whatever you want about any other aspect of it, but this system is a bad thing for them.

It's not like it's permanent, they'll drop from monsters eventually ( Bosses obv ). A House but no land? Come on that's terrible a terrible comparison, It's free to play you're not being forced to play, if you don't like it then don't play it. It's a simple as that.

There's no reason to complain about a business it's what there supposed to do look for new ways to increase that bank account and there doing it.

Don't you mean for the players? It's not bad for Nexon, there making money from them and it's not like they can get any worse then they already are. IMO I consider this a good thing, it's easier to get and with access to the surveys now it's a piece of cake.

That was a joke right? That would be worse then bosses, you gotta be pretty high level to actually do good in that PQ...What are the odds of you surving with 5 Magic Guard in that PQ? You might be able to buy you'd need to pot pretty quickly.

You really, reallly need to know what you're talking about before you post...

GPQ actually requires at least one member below level 30. The only skills required to "do well" in GPQ are the ability to follow instructions and the ability to complete a jump quest. Everything else is just about joining an active guild that likes to do things together.

Yes I do mean the players, I have no idea how well or badly this will turn out for Nexon.

The point is that if nexon weren't making money off of the skill books they wouldn't really have any reason to make any of the early level skills require mastery books at all, so the people who are better of buying them in the CS than hunting them in game really aren't gaining anything.

And what about the boss at the end? And don't give me the "need to know crap" before the post, just please STFU. And you're jumping to conclusions thinking those things are "easy" for basically noob players? Lol.

There is a special area on the boss map that is specifically designed to allow all the lower leveled participants to not be isolated from the rest of the group. They do no damage, and they take no damage in this spot. Alternatively, they could simply opt to not even enter the boss room and be automatically relocated to the bonus stage.

@Following post
This is not generosity but standard practice. Lower leveled players are required. Lower leveled players also prefer not to die. They are not forced to suicide against the final boss with the exception of the one player who must be sacrificed to open the portal to the final room.

I'm pretty much done discussing this with you since it's so incredibly off topic. I'll edit this post with a link to a GPQ guide later today if you are interested in educating yourself further.

EDIT: Promised guide

Odds of finding a guild THAT nice is pretty slim.

Most guilds actually end up paying some low level noob in Kerning to go in and do it for like 50k. They then have them suicide at the door to get inside, or more likely, have someone else suicide and have the guy wait up in the balcony hitting the chain. Most noobs don't have any idea that they aren't doing anything, but it's nice.

Last time I was in a guild that GPQ'd, we just had our own noob mule. You can't really expect some random guy to be able to the jq quickly, or to be able to find a noob every time.

I certainly won't play my Evan until these books are made available in-game. I see no point paying for an item that was meant to be there already. Sure I could use MTS and all that bull, but I refuse to give Nexon the satisfaction of there supposed 'forgetfulness'. Amusing that the ticket system conveniently goes down with it.. >_>

As for Dual Blade.. well if Nexon make them CS only then yep they're doomed x_x

Once again, misunderstanding posts. He said thieves are cheap in the early levels since damage doesn't really matter then, and he said the only class that really *needs* mesos is a dexless warrior. He didn't say "if u poor go maek dexlez warior lololz"

Hello again, I like how you avoid all my questions.

Get a thief, don't buy any gear, stick to your first set of equips and buy only subis and icies once you get to NLC. That's enough to get you through about 50 levels. Do you have a thief? Obviously not.

It's....it's like you completely skimmed through what PonyArcade was saying. I guess this isn't the first time.
