Yes, the PSP is sooooo much better than the DS! That's why you know, it sold more, and the design got peached at, and that's the exact same reason why the PSP Go!Fúckyourself is so successful, right?

Sorry, but no omni, just NO. the psp IS WAAAY better then the DS or DSI. and I'd know. I got em both. ( 3 psps 2 dss )
the only games that are REALLY REALLY good for the DS are the megamans,castlevanias and Final Fantasy A2.
the rest of the games arn't all that great. and WHO THE HELL OVER THE AGE OF 10 plays POKEMON!? seriously.

on the other hand. PSP has - Final Fantasy ( many of them. all of them are great imo ) , Castlevania , God Of War , Metal Gear Solid , Phantasy Star , Monster Hunter , Marvel Super Hero Squad , Ape Escape , Armored Core , Naruto fighting games ( don't like naruto but the game is good ) , Dynasty Warriors , Echochrome , Fate Stay Night , Ghost in the shell , Guilty Gear , Kingdom Hearts , Megaman , Need for speed and many other games.

point is, the DS has many titles but they look alot worse and the gameplay tends to be lacking since the PSP has a stronger processor.

Also half the games you listed for PSP basically failed in Sales, you're basically naming game you like or play, lol. Also half the ones you listed are also on DS...You sure you own a ds? The way you're typing makes look you don't own one...Do a little research and DS sales destroy PSP.

PSP is such a god-awful "portable." Probably explains why it's getting rocked in the sales department. DS is untouchable.

Failed to amaze me that everyone (yes I realise I did too) jumps on Adramelech's post, but not one person bothered to respond to Robs post about why he thinks the psp is better that he actually put some thought in to writing.

Now they can catch up to the PSP's awesome graphics. Too bad in terms of utilities, DS sucks. It can only do so much, PSP on the other hand:

-Music
-Videos
-Radio
-Internet
-Downloadable games directly from PS store
-Upgradable memory (memory card)
-Graphics
-Picture storage
-Customizable theme-GUI

Just trying to work out if everyone is going at them for the same reason I am. Agree wholeheartedly, internet arguments with people making it up as they go along are much more fun.

How so? I listed PSP's capabilities, not what DS lacked. Had I stated "PSP has these, DS does not have the following", etc, he would have. In this case, it's not 'wrong'. He's just proved that DS has similar or the same features.

For clarification reasons, I listed what PSP has in terms of features. If you were to refer back to my very first post in this thread, I only listed what PSP could do. Not what DS does not have, or lack. So how is that wrong? Unless of course, the features I listed were 'invalid' or false, then feel free to link me to an official site to prove yourself and show me otherwise.

I really think it's not about the features they have, it's more due to the things I listed in the previous page. The DS is far better for programmers. It's like the GameBoy back in the day vs. the Game Gear.

Actually, I'm not making excuses. -shrugs- When you guys posted all of the other stuff, I realized that I was wrong, and that DS was better than I expected, which is why I never responded. I'm only responding to Greg, who said I pulled my information out of thin air.

thing is, the ds versions are horrible. I was so dissapointed by Kingdom Hearts 365/2 and phantasy star zero. the graphics are horribly lacking, sound quallity is sub par.

First of all MS is Anime + classic sidescrollers + mario.

and I can't help but facepalm at people who like pokemon. the sales on the DS are better because its cheaper.
I got a used DS for 65$ . PSP on the other hand costs 150-200 usd and upto 350 for a psp with a hackable motherboard.

nintendo has the trust of gamers when it comes to handhelds. but if you compare just the machines the PSP has it beat. and if you compare games. visualy the PSP wins, audio - PSP , Gameplay I'd say the psp is better because its a stronger machine it can run much heavier games.

Because Rob posted his opinion in a respectable manner, and I respect him for doing so. I too own a PSP and a DS. I don't like my PSP nearly as much as my DS, but I do occasionally download a game for it when something I want to try comes out. There's no reason to argue against Rob, because he simply stated why he liked the PSP and nothing more.

It's like going to a WonderKing forum and saying:

Maybe now WonderKing can be on par with Maplestory. After all, WonderKing really lacks as an MMORPG. I mean, just look at Maplestory:
- Cute 2D Graphics
- Multiple classes
- Job advancements that branch off into separate jobs
- Each job has different skills
- Slimes
- Level up system
- Boss fights
- Party quests
- A buddy list

I think one of the problems with the 3DS will be that most of the games that will be released on it won't fully ustilise the systems abilities. Sure, most all DS games make use of the touch screen, but they rarely ever get the best graphics available. The few games that do are either bigger Nintendo titles(Mario, Pokémon) or from companies like Square Enix(Final Fantasy(cutscenes), Kingdom Hearts(again, cutscenes)). The biggest games(filesize) are 256mb, with most being 32mb, 64mb or 128mb. So if in the 5 years the DS exists only a few games have been made that really put the system to it's limits, I think the 3d and such will most likely be wasted money with many games and will look sloppy most of the time. The DS isn't even that bad when it comes to music though.

Hopefully the 3DS won't take it's entire lifetime to get a few games that actually make use of everything it has to offer.
