It's really funny to read people saying that complaints of the MINORITY is making Nexon step up their game. Nexon is an awesome company and they do not need to do anything different than what they have been doing. These changes are merely a part of their schedule and have nothing to do with complaints that some people WHO ARE NEVER SATISFIED make.

Accept what you are given or look for another alternative elsewhere.

That reminds me, did your NL get hacked yet?

I don't think complainers here merely complain. They're doing what they can for their own good, much like what you deem justifiable to have been done by Nexon. So if you can tolerate with Nexon's self-serving schemes, leave them alone.
They're still abiding by the rules, no one has spammed the ticketing system, no one has framed Nexon with any fake information, no one is even trying to harm beloved Nexon, people are merely seeking their own benefits, is that bad? There are no laws, rules or regulations that bind us customers to "accept" anything.

Regardless of whether Nexon is improving (one would hope) their ticket system due to public pressure or out of the goodness of their hearts, deleting all closed tickets reeks of cover-up. If they'd said, "We are deleting closed tickets over a year old in the interest of saving space and improving performance", it would make sense. But deleting tickets closed the day before the upgrade? Why, the ticket opener might not even have had time to read the resolution of their ticket, before it is gone forever. That's absurd.

However, to all those worried about evidence disappearing: if Nexon doesn't step up its ticket handling system, evidence will pile up again very quickly. Tickets left unread for extended periods of time (they're not deleting old *open* tickets); tickets closed within seconds of creation, with no response; tickets closed with generic form-letter responses totally irrelevant to the ticket's contents; and so on and so forth.

They, however, seem to find everything that Nexon does bad... no matter how hard they try.

No and it won't get hacked. Only stupid people get hacked... it's not that hard to change your password/pin every 24 hours. If, one day, my account gets hacked, it will not be Nexon's fault; it will be MY fault for not changing my info.

Poor, stupid inactive level 200s. They got hacked because they aren't playing and weren't paying attention. The blame falls on all hacked players, we're at fault here, and we should work our hardest to achieve the most basic of basic features.

I am inactive. However, I do have the time to change my password/pin every day. It doesn't take long...

At the last sentence, uhh.. Now you're just making the game itself as an entirely, into a chore. It's no longer a game if you're inactive, yet attempting to lock it. That's more like a job. Why don't you get yourself into a Customer Service position at an MMO or at an Internet Service Provider company?

It takes less than a minute. The day has 24 hours... what a chore!

So you honestly don't believe that just the possibility of you being compromised is no big deal? That the player has to take such extraordinary measures to secure their own account? I joined the army, I was deployed. I return home to consume the goods of a service provider I've used for a long time. They've lost all of my information and continue to blame me because I wasn't around. Is it really my fault? Should I have called from the battlefield everyday to make sure my records were on file for my return trip? They tell me that certainly would've helped.

Should I have to? No.

It's a chore if you're not really playing the game. You yourself said that once, iirc. Wow, what a hypocrite. You just gg'ed yourself. You deserve a pat on the back.

We are at risks every second of our lives. You could get killed just by walking around your house, etc... Yes, you should take extraordinary measures to secure your own life if you do not find any other way. Nexon is not obligated in "fixing" the "hackings", it's a free game after all.

No, I did not say that once. And no, it's not a chore... if I can do it, everyone can.

I am responsible for my own life. Nexon is responsible for their consumer data. Imagine if a site like Amazon had a breach of security. Would they step up? Would they beef up security? Would they take the blame? Would they get through to the many bank proxies to make sure the affected consumer would get their money back?
"Free gæm lololol" is an argument rife with logical fallacies. Don't use it.

Either there was a complete "Lost in Translation" going on here, or you're uneducated. When I used the term 'chore', I meant something that you feel obligated to do. If you feel:

-Obligated to get your Hermit from 20-100 in less than a month, it's a chore.
-Obligated to play MS every day because you feel like it's a duty to Zakum when your guild needs you, it's a chore.
-Obligated to train every day because you bought a full-week 2x EXP card, even if you don't want to grind, it's a chore.
-Obligated to secure your own account by means of resetting your password every 24 hours, even if the developers/company sucks balls for not having better security, it's a chore.

^ No game requires you to change your password every 24 hours. No matter how you're taking this all in, you should know by now, your logic is lacking focus and meaning.

Amazon and MapleStory are two different things. Amazon, you are talking about real money and items... MapleStory, you are talking about FREE items and gameplay.

That's your opinion. What you just said I'd rather call it "responsibility". Is it a chore to go to school/university every day? Is it a chore to talk to your parents even when you don't want to?

Nexon's Privacy Policy Wrote:Because the success of the Service is dependent on building and maintaining goodwill with our customers, we are committed to implementing measures designed to protect the privacy of those using the Service.

So when people's information that is supposed to stay private, and is in no way the players fault, and obviously Nexon's, then they are violating their own policy.

They are committed... I see them implementing new techniques to avoid these "issues" in the future. People are just too impatient! However, they are not obligated to do so.

Of course no game requires this but... do you want to get hacked? If the answer is no, change your password every 24 hours until Nexon decides it's time to "fix" things. And no, my logic is perfectly fine... we just have different ways of viewing things.
