Out with the old, in with the new!

Alex123123 Wrote:Eh, I like the new changes to the game, specially the bunch of new quests and stuff. The leveling pace I've experienced now from level 1-30 is nice. Casual and gets you hooked to the game. Not to mention, the medals are a pretty nice addition that should motivate some newbies to go around collecting them when they are bored of grinding. (PS: Too bad there's no button to get rid of maple a-holes, or at least mute them...)

But imo, this is how it should have been, 4 (5?) years ago (minus PQs). I mean, seriously. Back then, it took an eternity to level to 30. I'm talking about not using skills, afk-ing to recover health, and if you were a magician, you were screwed, b/c, you couldn't do crap without mp. Train for 5 seconds, AFK for hours. Now it's a bit easier to get past the waytoopoorandweaktomakemesoandbuypots levels, the training areas and new quests helps a lot.

Hopefully this new trend does not ends on low level content. I'm not asking for zomgeasylvl200 content, but enough to motivate a casual player to keep playing after reaching lvl 70. Like... help me reach level 80 (when at last the efforts of 1-70 can be seen), and I'll do the rest... at least until level 120. xd

Next thing Nexon needs to do to help out is to give a permanent pet with perma magnet/pouch to players. It would help out probably more than everything they have done so far combined. This will not affect their bottom line in any significant way and will not stop people from buying other pets.

I haven't checked out the new Maple Island yet, but it looks great from the World Map. I really like how Nexon is making it easier for beginners to get used to the game; every time I make a new character, it seems like they've improved something on the way (i.e. removal of dice roll, automatic AP settings, shorter & less dangerous Maple Island, removal of overly high leveled monsters in newb maps, etc). Back when I made my first character in late 2006, getting to level 30 was SO FREAKING HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must have died at least 20 times trying to get those damn mushroom caps on Maple Island.

For one, I found my first time exploring this game as a nice adventure, and training my way to thirty back when I first joined took a few months; but I guess this is done to get people to the more "exciting" content.

This is actually kind of sad, even.

I agree. There are even statues in Lith Harbor that warp the (ironically titled) explorer class to its respective town for the job advancement. Where is the exploration? Whoever said that Nexon is rushing its players to zero content was right on the mark as well; there's simply not a lot to do later on in the game, and it's baffling to see so many people rushing to get there.
