Did I get hacked or is this a glitch?

Well, some hacking cases I've known lost all their mesos but none of their items were touched. Still, this means that someone has access to your account. Try changing your password and scanning your computer.

I, too, got hacked, back on Oct. 1st. It happened on my girlfriend's computer. A month later we found "maplehackpack" on her computer. And I lost quite a few things, along with my facestompers and 66k nx. But my sky skis were left alone, as well as my mules.

I don't even dare to check if my clean 19 atk d.khanjar was stolen or not. Moot point I guess, because I've set myself to not play again since the hacking.

The same thing happened to 3 of my friends, their use invo's were left in tact but they lost all of their chairs and set up items and in these cases their nx and meso's were reduced to 1. But only certain items were gone. I had a feeling it was either a nexon glitch or a hack.

Not a glitch. I actually found who hacked me [or at least his/her mule] by searching my stuff in MTS, and this person seems to have hacked more people -in Bera-

My brother just logged on, he lost a Versalmas Hat, Stirgeman pants and other stuff. But none of his mesos was touched. His key configuring was also messed up. None of the other characters were touched.

Also, on another one of his accounts, he has a level 35 Cleric, which he hasn't used in months, suddenly has 3 Slime Shoes instead of one.

All of 'em are in Windia. Only affecting the highest character on the account.

This is odd, as normally, I would say that it was someone getting hacked, but...the odds of THIS many people getting hacked? Something certainly seems somewhat odd. I havent gotten hit, and while it certainly looks like a lot of people getting hacked...something doesnt seem right about it

I have been watching this thread as a guest since about a week ago when I had been hacked on my main, and the other 2 mules on my front page of the char select screen.

The only infection found on my computer was IFRAME-inf trojan, which after a little research I found out is massively being used to get people's info in more than just games. Apparently it's on myspace and other sites as well, infecting any link/video/picture that is vulnerable.

I had this happen on a particularly crappy day that I was having already, so it is easy to recall that the only sites I visited during that time period were lolBasil and Sleepyfood...

Just trying to find a common denominator here as to what's actually going on. Everything that was taken was tradeable and the NX I had left was used by the hacker to buy gfa60's, no untradeables were dropped.

I've had friends with this very same problem, 100% POSITIVE
They did not get hacked, keylogged, any sort of phisher etc..

From some research and some stories I've been hearing from
friends/forums/rumors(?), I can say that There is indeed a
glitch/hack going around that many hacker(s) are exploiting
which does have something to do with the login screen

I'm not sure If it's the Maple Login Screen or the Website Login Screen.
The problem I've been hearing is that, Certain log into THEIR own accounts
and after choosing Worlds they find characters at the Character selection
screen, Which arent theres.

Of course there are the people who look at this and see as a opportunity
to take a persons belongs, It sucks and there are some good and some bad
people that wait and out and leave the account as IS, Then there is the others which take it all.

One of my friends was a victim of this, She had everything stole and also her information was changed, Which she had no idea how, She wasnt keylogged
and It was confusing how they retrieved her last name and date of birth
without being keylogged.(Im sure theres certain ways)

This theory I've had after reading many stories was, If the person can successfully login to their OWN account and have another character which isnt theres at the character selection screen, Do you think some way you
can head to the nexon site and change your own account info and It'll also change the info to the account that is Glitched?

well the rumor i had heard said nexon's went lax in their security when changing they were upgrading their servers and some people's info got leaked. Don't believe it 100% but i changed info to both accounts after i got hacked just to be safe, then again if i have a keylogger or trojan that wasnt found by avg then i might have just given my accounts away by giving them all my info.

I logged onto my hero and all the equiptment was gone, but everything else, scrolls, equip inventory, etc, use.. meso.. everything was the same, even the mule. just all the gear that wasnt untradeable isnt on it..

I also visited those 2 sites a very short while before I was hacked. I almost never go on them though, but I was checking if anyone had any info on the Black Friday sale glitch. The person also only hacked the characters on my front page. I, however, found my hacker selling my items in FM (which he is still currently doing at this moment), so I know mine wasn't a glitch.

Well I suggest that we all know out stuff's stats by heart so that we can promtly check out whoever owns them after we get hacked and report the igns. If it's somehow connected at least we'll know something's fishy.

By the time I realized what happened, it was too late.. none of my stuff was in MTS.

It is really easy for me to identify my items since I had used 1 hammer on just about each item and took SS of each self scrolled thing. Will keep an eye out though... however it has all been replaced with now sealed to my account, better items than what I had before.

Okay, recent spread of account hacking. We get it. Any more discussion of this is just propogating fear.
