The Manga Thread

Mx0 is one of my favorite series, honestly. However, a new one I'm reading called Gamble Fish is pretty good. Story isn't all too interesting, but wondering how he'll do it is.

I enjoyed Mx0 and I'm a fan of his other works.
Pretty Face was one of my favourites, though it is seemingly generic. The Japanese audience doesn't seem to enjoy his stuff quite as much though, since Mx0 got the axe, and I think Pretty Face had some popularity issues as well, coming to its close. It may very well have also gotten the boot too.

Oh MGX was also one of the first series I started. I liked it a lot. Also, Pretty Face was another one of my favorites, and I'm sure it got the axe too. Sad, really, because it was really good like Mx0 was.

Yeah, I've been enjoying Mysterious Girlfriend X for a while now. I just wish it wasn't monthly. On top of that, Ueshiba takes breaks every now and then, so it was skipped about 3 months or so. But it's a nice series. I really wanna see where it's heading with it's most recent chapter (40 at the time of writing this.)



As for Negima, what are you currently up to? Negima starts out looking like just another Love Hina, Ken even goes as far as to modify LH character designs to put them in Negima. But as chapters go on it gradually changes until it's at the point where it's more action than harem. Apparently, Ken was asked to make another harem series, but he wanted to try out something else. So in order to please everyone, he made a harem action, starting out with strong harem tones and then slowly nipping away and introducing action.

Alright, I just plowed through 10 chapters of Franken Fran last night; and was sad to find out that OneManga had only up to Chapter 23 up, so I decided to take a break from it to enjoy the rest for another time. Is there much more after that that's missing? I'd love to know.

Also, I read Hotel some hours after 'Lexy's post about it but forgot about this thread for some time. The art and story were excellent, and the whole thing was beautiful and enjoyable. I gave it a 10/10 on my MAL.

I just started reading Bakuman today and really liked it. Haven't thought much about why I like it so much yet, though.

Pretty Face was one of my favourites as well it was one of the first mangas ive read beside sj mangas.

Unless you can convince SnoopyCool to translate the rest, there's nothing more to see for a while. They have a habit of starting up projects then abandoning them, an having a hissy fit when someone else tries to pick up where they left off.

I was thinking of getting it translated with some connections I have with some scanslator groups, but I can't even find the RAWs for the other chapters. Though, I haven't looked in a while...maybe I should look again.
