"oh, well I went to sir snooty mcfancyfarts!!"

=/

so long as you know who to talk to in the world for whatever you want to do, you dont need to go to the higher named schools, all those do is create a segway into starting that bridge. 'course, going out for a drink has the same effect.

Ehh most of the prestigious schools are great research schools for doing actual research (more libraries/grants) and have a student body that actually wants to do well.

Doesn't mean anything. It just means that I can't function at 7 AM with minimal sleep in pressure situations.

7 AM? I didn't start my SAT until like 9:00. I start class at 8:00, so it didn't really seem that early to me. The SAT doesn't test any knowledge (except for vocab maybe), so it really is just testing your focus and ability to sit in a chair for 4 hours, lol. Even though I did very well on my SAT, I think everyone would do better if it was cut down. 10 sections is unnecessary - 6 would be completely fine. One long passage CR, one short passage CR, one mult choice Math, one short answer Math, one section of grammar and the essay. Two and a half hours and it's done.

I don't really agree with the fact that the prestigious colleges are too expensive and are aimed at higher middle class/upper classes.
My family has a AGI of 22k - my brother is at Yale now, with financial aid paying for his entire education except for the portion that he's contributing from student work.
Although he and I have completely different career choices, we went to the same high school (I'm in my final year), had a GPA within a point of each other and had the same exact SAT scores. He and I both worked in the school year and summer to support our family. The experience we got and the places we worked at (most in places we first interned at), in my opinion, helped/will help our college apps.

Had to wake up earlier because it started at 8.

And there's a difference between school and SATs.

oh, well, I had to wake up at 7, too, but I wake up at 5:30 for school everyday, so yeah :3

Just go to sleep early the day before.
