I know, right?

It sucks that the people performing the action do not get penalized. If you do something bad, you get punished, unless you're a child, and then your parents have to. I guess they really made it a family system. Goggleemoticon

Some people abuse the rep system, everyone gets affected in the end.

Sick, twisted irony right there.

It's good because people can't abuse the system anymore but it's bad because those who never abused it get affected as well. But think about it; I'm not exactly complaining since I don't really rearrange my family much at all. I mean, if you don't abuse the system, you don't really have to complain when you... well, don't abuse the system. If you cut ties with someone, you lose rep, but if you're cutting ties with someone who you're getting rep from (possibly the reason you cut ties in the first place), you'd be getting that rep back.

I only found out about this because I needed a junior who actually gives me rep so I cut ties with an inactive friend to junior a much more active friend so I can actually get rep. I lost rep, but it didn't take me long to get that rep back because he actually trains often.

So really, this is simply abusers getting their just desserts. The negative for those who never abused the system isn't as big for those who did. :x

EDIT: Hm, forgot about juniors leaving seniors... yeah that's not good. I'm tired though, so I'll think about that side some other time. *goes to sleep*

TLX Wrote:Abuse? Nexon never set any specific rules for the family system. How is it abuse when nothing illegal is occurring? Nexon just wants to make people buy 2x cards instead of getting 2x from rep, this is a huge downgrade in gameplay.

Apparently you like leveling slow as hell, but those other "hundred thousand players" don't. No one cares about your opinion.

Well I'm sure as hell that nexon didn't make the family system for people to keep deleting/remaking Lv1 characters to farm points to use on free x2 and teleports, which I know tons of people have done. How is that a huge downgrade in gameplay, Global MS is easy as f'uck already, how much more do you want to be spoon fed?

That's exactly like "GUYS NEXON NEVER SET ANY SPECIFIC RULES ON THE VICIOUS HAMMER SO JUST KEEP ABUSING IT LOL".

OT: I don't mind the change, whatever Nexon/Wizet deems to be the "true" purpose of Family System, let them be and fill their loopholes until people have no other ways to sneak around.

This sucks.

Not everyone levels at the same speed, especially in the lower levels.

I am in a family with just my guild, pretty much. We shuffle the family somewhat often, whenever someone outlevels someone else.

My WK is going to need a new senior soon because the one she has never trains. I don't want to have to work even HARDER (i.e. bugging people about it) to get back in the family just because people don't want to kick their inactive juniors.

Plus, one of my juniors on my bishop trains a lot more than me and will probably pass me soon. When that happens, we might have to rearrange the family drastically, losing rep at every step.

Besides, you can easily make rep mules without ever leaving a family. Tongue

And for the record, I simply familied all the nub chars I was going to make anyway and use them as rep mules. I don't see how that's abuse. :f6: Otherwise, the rep is just going to waste... Since there's no way I could organize getting them all seniors when I get in the mood to level them, and no one I know stays in the 2x levels for very long anyway. (And the ones that do, I would have to leave anyway...)

Heard a rumor you can get negative reps. Can anyone confirm?

I think Nexon's logic is that the junior must've left because you were being a "bad senior". But there's tons of other reasons for people to leave. Tongue

In Nexon's world, a junior leaving you means that you didn't do a good enough job as a senior.

But you still have 200rep left over.

Personally I've never seen anyone with an overall negative rep.

And I'm pretty sure the junior (if they leave their sr) lose FP too. I'm pretty sure I lost FP on my Windbreaker when I moved from an inactive family to a 2000 people one.

I had negative 4000 rep before yeah its possible, and the system is totally normal. Stop QQ'ing. You guys have 2x EXP cards, leech, and more maps then some other versions. When I see someone from GMS complaining about something like this I can tell you guys have been spoonfed too much crap. Just saying Biggrin

My bad. I'll take an SS of my own when the game launches, I'm pretty sure that is the case though.

at least make it so if the player hasn't logged on for a week, you don't take a penalty for removing them. people quit the game, you know...

Perhaps limiting the amount of Juniors that a Senoir can invite to 2 a month would be a nice alternative as well. Big Grin

Since the above poster mentioned what I've been thinking for a while now (as in people quitting). Tongue

Yeah, you're on a different server who has constantly used different variables with how CS and such works. We get a new system, and then it gets completely changed. Stop bringing other server pomegranate into this and let GMS deal with the problem within GMS. Worry about your own server instead of QQ'ing over our "spoonfed" version.

This system is awful for actually trying to make friends with new juniors that you previously had no association with. The system basically tells us that your senior should be punished if you feel like being an ass that day.

Because the people of the old times and the people of the "leech" generation are different individuals. :f6:
There were bitchers in your time as well, and there are also mad grinders in this time who has several lvl 200s on their account, pomegranate stays the same. It's just the addition of spoon-feeding methods that turned the majority of today's society into whiny crybabies.

Sitting on your chair or laying in your bed for a thousand hours to reach level 200 isn't quite anything to rub one's e-penis about. Sure it's impressive, he who achieves that will get a good round of applause and that's it. People who leeched their way to 120, 130, 140 even 160 if they're crazy enough to deserves discrimination and hatred from the "mainstream" community, and received frowns, but that's it.

A game is about having fun. While you reach multiple orgasms when your character levels up after grinding your ass off for days and nights on end, other people find fun elsewhere. And when a baby has his toy taken away, whether or not he's playing with it, he'll cry.

I'm don't really favor this change either. Personally, being able to have rep mules made me buy more 2x cards because why not train on 4x exp when you can. While i don't level much nowadays, a small change in reps being deducted drives me away from training a bit more lol. Unless this is nexon's way of *slowing down* the rate of people leveling(less mules + less 2x buffs = i have to train for more hours and more cards) I'm already not fond of 2x cards being 4 hours with no 1-2 hours cards available, now i gotta grind it out at half the speed i used to.

and for those that think i don't know how it is to level the old school way, i used to grind at ynp/coolies on my shadower at late 5x-6x to get 2% an hour back then. With all the new upgrades and new bosses, i don't see why it wouldn't be so bad to make leveling easier so people can participate in new content sooner where they were otherwise restricted due to level.

Having a rep mule isn't abusing anything either, the family that i'm in uses are 2x buffs for each other, we share any rep on our mules if we're all training at the same time, or trade buffs with friends.
