I just found out about this the other day. Absolutely retarded. If you leave a family now, it costs your Senior (4xxx) and second Senior (2xxx) rep. I don't know if those are set values, but it's stupid no matter what.

I've never abused the family system. In fact, I'm part of a four person family. It consists of me, one of my alternates and two of my friend's characters. We hardly even get rep for each other. Our Cygnuses get far more rep for each other. lol

I find it stupid because it's unfair that a person can leave a family (without any discussion with their seniors) and still take rep from them.

Since you felt the need to tack this part on, I was only defending myself because I was grouped in with those people. I could not care less about any other person. Regardless, if someone wants to abuse the system, this isn't going to stop anything. It has more of a negative effect on freedom (changing families, switching character positions, etc) than rep abusing.

Don't most rep farmers keep it on mule families anyway? You only need to be in a party to get exp 2x party buffs, you don't need to be in their immediate juniors.

The abuse happened because there is a cheaper (in rep points) 2x party buff that is restricted to having at least 6 members of a family online. Players would temporarily leave and join families to make this possible.

Abuse? Nexon never set any specific rules for the family system. How is it abuse when nothing illegal is occurring? Nexon just wants to make people buy 2x cards instead of getting 2x from rep, this is a huge downgrade in gameplay.

Whats wrong with having rep mules? And what counts as "abusing" the family system? I make rep mules with cygnus (since they level insanely fast) and sell the party rep for profit during x2 events. ^_^ What's so wrong about that? Its just a different form of making mesos. It's not hacking or scamming. This negative rep is stupid. But I'm sure I'll find some way around it.
