What happened between SW and SP?

I was with SW when i noticed that all of Fiel's posts were gone. I noticed a topic about SP, joined and stayed a member ever since. SP FTW!!!

I don't have a Basil account, and rarely ever look at that website, so I can only go off of rumors I hear, which I have yet to confirm.

However, the main page on SW was really full of locked and moved topics of people who seem to be either spreading rumors or asking incredibly simple questions, that SW deemed it necessary to do that.

All I know is I can say Southperry again on SW without getting an infraction, which was the main reason why I ended up on Southperry (I got banned because this forum existed.)

I think it still is cluttered with locked/moved topics, was yesterday at least. But yeah, I dunno much about when people were able to say SP again.

Quite a while back, actually. I think the beginning of this month.

It's just another message board, I don't know why people take internet-drama so seriously... Honestly! To sum up stuff, Adura (the admin) of SW was a pedophile that obtains 'dirty' pictures of women, and makes those certain women moderators. Adura abused his powers as an Administrator, and he's a piece-of-pomegranate one, at that. He eventually owned the site, he belittles everyone, and if he doesn't like how you are on his board, he bans you or threatens you because he enjoys being a cyber-'gangsta'. All the cool people from there left to join here anyways, that and some people got banned. Fiel left out of his own choice. -shrugs- I did eventually too, I hated that site.

Pretty sure that was Ruk, who dropped off the face of the Earth (I think).

omg Hypamug. I remember when you used to post in Bera sub-section before you became a moderator. You had a pokemon avatar that was a bug. You used to be so cool back then.

I was implying that he's matured a lot from when he was just a fun and interesting poster. Hypermug now has a refined style and class to how he writes. Every word he speaks seems to bounce off the page like a slow savory jazz note spirited by the skills of a smooth blues saxophonist. Skimming scantily is simply scandalous as such sultry support single-handedly shines with sympathy that would soften the hearts of even shamefully shallow sacerdotal serial killers.

I suppose it's more justifiable to name our attitude towards Basil condescension rather than hatred. I don't see why anyone should hate Basil. Ignorance is bliss (though in a different sense), so yes, they are harmless, even contributive, unlike some other certain malicious instances.

I prefer this forum over others because it provides good information and has some people that actually got a few IQ points over a seagull, but I do not get why this forum vs. forum crap get so much attention.
It's like 2 kindergarten kids fighting over toys, just as childish. Do we need for the teacher to come and fix this or can we just let it slide and just ignore the other forums?

Can it be that we have discovered a migration of Basilers to SW? If so, they got their just desserts.

seriously, i only came here because, well... because i did. o-o there wasnt an ulterior motive to it. i had made an account here around the same time that basil blacklisted southperry, and i let my account sit dormant. i went back to basil in a buisness-as-usual mindset. i dont remember what lit the spark of the powder keg, but i knew at one point that i needed to find a new forum. i remembered i had an account here, and for a week weened into it, going back to basil a lot just because it was homey. then after that, well... i still go back there, mostly for the screen section. sure i may post here or there, but i just really dont. for a few months i acted and tried to become a mod there, but, after coming to the realization that it wasnt possible due to 1) i wasnt that well known for being a very up-standing individual all the time, or, rather, i was known by a small group that knew i had my own posting styles (this is all my ego talking here, so pardon my ignorance to others views of me) and values, but i was one of those few of the community that had maturity, and 2) i just grew tired of the site. i was probably only known best for my poems, which a small percentage even knew of, and that i had editted avatars that were accepted that by common sense ought not have been, despite that not being the case nowadays.

that was really one of the deal-closers for here, a forum dedicated solely towards literacy. my god, it was like i had an epiphany and an orgasm simultaneously in my mind, and i was just left wondering why i shouldnt migrate? the community as a whole here is more mature, and in some instances, more entertaining (nothing can top LLied from basil's past, nothing. sorry opeth/greg, you guys are good, but he caused drama that unfolded like a masterfully orchestrated pirouette of chaos before my awestruck eyes, and allowed my exploration of the persona and character roles of the original Tobias Black character identity. it was a good time to have had experienced). and, comparing basil's iRC to SP's... there is no comparison, SP's is better. just... in many regards, SP has its advantages and superiorities to basil, but for me at least, i will never be able to fully leave. ive still got people i know well enough and talk to over there, but dont consider yet to be friends, and for nostalgia/screens.

plus, SP has , which is made of win. sure it has data extractions as well, but thats not a reason for staying, its just a perk for me.
